Kingdoms Of Amalur Reckoning Walkthrough Part 11 – The Hunters Hunted
Head out of the Theater of Fate using the Erathi sigil stone and start out to the right, retracing your steps back out onto the surface. Make the first left you can in the large chamber to easily return to the surface.
Return to Didenhal where you will find Agarth waiting for you in the Three Lamp Inn. He has something a crisis of faith since you changed his fate of becoming troll stew. He will give you a Ring with an elemental resistance as thanks. After that you can ask him about the Tuatha. With that you are given a choice to either go in through the front or the back. The front is more combat intensive while the back is more stealthy and trap-ridden. Opting for the back will have Agarth assault the front alone to draw their attention. If you opt for the front he will go to the back to ensure no one escapes through it to report the assault.
The Front
This way means a lot of fighting. Be sure all your equipment is in good repair and your inventory is good and empty, lots of bodies always means lots of loot.
Head north out of the village on Agarth's trail. He will lead you directly to the Hunter's Pit which is due north of Didenhal. Head inside and you will see two Tuatha run from you. This pair will lead you right into a troop of seven Tuatha Raiders. Once you kill them and get beyond their barrier, head to the left and loot the chest there. Now continue north.
Just past the bend you will encounter another set of Tuatha. This group is just a trio of them so take them out quickly. Be sure to explore the area around where you fought then for the pile of rocks to the right of the southern fire as it can yield some nice armor. To the north you will find a chest with some reagents.
Continue along the path and you will find a blocked up bridge. Start smashing the crates but be warned as there are two Tuatha Archers on the other side waiting to get a clear shot at you. Smash through and be ready to block! Kill them and continue along the path until you encounter the next single Tuatha. Kill him then you have a choice. You can slip down the side path to your left and potentially backstab a few of them or just head forward and jump from the ledge right into fighting the massed six Tuatha.
Head up the ramp and move forward. You will encounter a patrol of four Tuatha waiting for you none too far along the path. Just press on to the east from there. Hang up a little to the north to find your target, The Eyes of Tirnoch. Approach the Raider there and Agarth will come forward and attack him to aid you.
Smash the red crystal in front of you and move to smash the mirror in front of you. Gadflow will appear and ask you a question. Answer however you desire. Talk with Agarth, loot the chest to the right of the mirrors then head on out.
The Back
With rank 7 Detect Hidden you can see and disarm the traps in these passages. With rank 4, you can simply disarm them.
Start by heading down the ramp and hiding behind the boxes and the pillar nearby the bottom of the ramp. Wait for the Tuatha to move forward then backstab him. In the next room there are three more Tuatha Raiders that need to be dealt with.
Now, if you want to take a shortcut and loose some chaos in your favor, head to the north and jump down. You will find a cage with some Barghest in there. Open the cage and they will attack a number of Tuatha, freeing you of the responsibility of killing them.
Otherwise, just head to the east. As you approach the point the room narrows to another tunnel, hang to either side to avoid the trap that is sitting just to the left of the center. Keep to the same side to avoid another until you reach the waterfall room. Head through this room and hang to the right initially to avoid the first trap of this corridor. When the corridor widens you will encounter six more Tuatha. A solitary Tuatha is patrolling and most have their backs to you. Move forward and hide behind the boxes on the left and wait for him to pass by then kill him. Now you can freely backstab most of the remaining Tuatha. Otherwise it is not too bad a fight.
Head down the ramp, hiding behind the stone pillar in the center and kill the patrolling guard in the area. Now you will find a group of Barghest who are to be trained. However, if you use the lever to the right of the cage door you will open up the cage and loose them on the amassed Tuatha to your left. Considering there are eight in the next room, it might not be a bad idea. You can also backtrack and loose the other group of Barghest as well for additional help. After that, join the fray and take down the Tuatha.
Once they are all down, turn to the north. You will find a locked door. Pick it to find your way into the chamber with The Eyes of Tirnoch. Kill the Tuatha guard in front of it and help Agarth with the ones to the left.
