Kingdoms Of Amalur Reckoning Factions Part 2 – House of Ballads: Song of Sir Sagrell

Talk with Hallam the White who stands at the top of the stairs leading into the House of Ballads itself. Tell him you wish to take the seat to gain the quest, “Song of Sir Sagrell”. This is the introducary quest to the faction: House of Ballads. Head to the southeast, to Gorguath in Yolvan.

Gorguath
Just inside of the entrance, head ot the right to find one its Lore Stones. After that, head to the northeast and meet up with the group of pledges who want to join into the telling. Talk with him to learn more about the task at hand and the lore around this particular Thresh. Head either to the northwest or southeast to proceed in this telling. The two overlap in the end so this guide will just cover coming from the northwest.

Northwest
Follow the path until it becomes a landbridge. On there you will find four Boggart Plaguebearers. Be sure to loot the chest that is about the center of the bridge on the right-hand side for a weapon and maybe something more. Continue along the path after that. You will find the first of the three heartvines where the path dips to the southeast. Destroy it and move on to the northwest.

Head into the next room. There you will encounter four Boggart Tumblers. Head to the northwest in this room to find four Boggart Plaguebearers. Head southeast from there, taking the right fork at the T-Intersection to find the next of the Heart Vines protected by three Boggart Tumblers.

Go to the southeast to find the next room of enemies. This one has five Pestilent Brownies inside it. Wipe them out then head for the southwest. You will find the final heartvine there waiting to be pulled.

Continue to the southeast into the next room. There you will find five brownies waiting for you. Continue on to find a number more Pestilent Brownies to deal with.

Now you can either head to the northwest, toward the center and face the thresh or turn to the southeast to claim some treasures. If you go to the southeast, you will another Lore Stone waiting for you along the path. Past that you will find a chest with some weapons and armor.

The Grave Thresh
Head into the center room now to face down the Thresh. It has some backup in the form of three more Boggart Tumblers. Kill them as you cut into the Thresh with the other pledge(s) help.

If you head to the northeast from that room you will find another with a few more Boggarts (Tumblers) as well as the next Lore Stone as you head there. When you reach the next large room you will find the corpse of Sir Sagrell. Loot it to find the ring you are after. Once you finish the other Pledge will comment on how you are not alone.

You are attacked first by a pair of threshes. Keep the pressure on them to keep them stunned so they cannot attack you. Defeat both of them then thoroughly loot the room as there are a few more Boggarts to find and a nicely loaded chest as well. Head to the northeast to find another Lore Stone and a skeleton you can loot. This will also summon a trio of Boggarts you need to deal with.

As you head for the exit, you will encounter a few more trios or fours of boggarts. Just kill them off and make your way out and back to the House of Ballads. Talk with Hallam The White to finish out this part of the faction's quest line.
