Poptropica Walkthrough - SOS Island Part 1 - Sinking Ship

After landing on the island, you will speak to the crew mate of a ship. He asks for help. The ship is sinking and there are people trapped inside. You will receive your objective:

The ship has struck an iceberg and is sinking! Rescue all the passengers onboard to win the S.O.S. Island medallion. Hurry, before it is too late!

Click on start to begin the rescue mission. Go towards the left and jump up on the sailboats to get aboard the ship. Locate a big white boulder and push it to the right. Drop down to the ship and enter through the door that says "Entrance" on top. Enter the Bridge and find the captain inside. He is asking through the speaker system whether there are any survivors on board and instructs them to press their emergency call button.

You can ask him:
What happened here?
A whale did this to the sheep?
You need to get off the ship.

You can learn about the circumstances that caused the ship to sink, then tell him that he needs to get off the ship. He tells you that the captain always goes down with the ship. Most of the passengers escaped, but others are left on board. He tells you to go and rescue them. He has turned on the emergency door controls. Open the doors by turning that knob.

Use the knob to the left to open the deck doors.  Exit the bridge and  go left. Enter the following rooms:

Room #6: Guy has his leg stuck under some rubble. Help release it. Tell him to come with you, you are getting out of here. He says ok, but he wants to get his whale caller.  You lead him outside. He thanks you for saving him. He does not believe a whale did all of this.  He gives you: Whale Song Gadget

The ship starts taking on water. The guy you saved tells you that there is no time to lose, you need to get back to the ship and look for more passengers. Return to the sinking ship and back to the bridge. If you speak with the captain, he will direct you to the ballroom to rescue another crew member, the cruise director.  Enter the ballroom, jump right into the water and go right. There is glass on the right. If you can find a way to crack this glass, it might raise the water level. Grab the floating bottle and throw it at the glass. Click and hold to power and aim your shot. Do it several times until the glass cracks completely. The water levels will rise. Go to the left and do the same on another glass to make the water rise even more. Then rescue the cruise director by pushing her to the exit.

Once outside the ship, she tells you that it looks like she won't win the Tour Director Bureau's Gold seal this year either.

The ship now sinks even more. Events take a turn to the worse. She says that things aren't looking good over there and that you should head back to the ship right away. Follow her advice and return to the sinking ship.
