Ghost Recon Future Soldier Walkthrough Part 12: Tiger Dust Part 2

Now that you have successfully found and interrogated the buyer, you will need to hunt down the seller, as he is your real objective in this mission. Luckily, the dealer will have been spotted in a vehicle on the streets of Peshawar’s eastern district, so this is where you will be headed next. A helicopter will take you there, so there’s no need to worry about sneaking through the whole city. When you leave the safety of the helicopter, take cover behind the red car ahead. Deploy a Drone to scout the area ahead for enemies. The streets ahead and to the right will be crowded with numerous enemies, some of whom will even be armed with RPGs. It is definitely in your best interest to establish at least a rudimentary understanding of the enemy positions ahead. As you enter the fray, this intel can quickly change, but it can also save your life.

Search amongst the cars on the street to find the first batch of enemies. Issue orders to your squad to take them out. From here, the battle will quickly take a turn for the chaotic. Unlike in the past sections, using your Drone will not be the best way to identify and eliminate enemies. Instead, use the Sensor grenades to light up the bad guys in their cover positions and issue elimination orders from there. If you are having an especially difficult time managing all of the enemy forces ahead, note that you can even position your Drone directly above the enemies, within obvious line of sight, to draw their fire away from you and towards the Drone. The Drone will probably die, but you will get another one eventually.

As you move forward down the city streets, use the various vehicles scattered all about for cover. Use the cover swap technique to quickly switch from one cover point to another, eliminating any potential for user error in switching between cover points. As you progress down the street, curve towards the right to follow the right-hand branch of the street and don’t forget to keep lining your path with Sensor grenades. These will help you to distinguish the many enemies ahead from the civilians who will come rushing out from the cracks and crevices between the vehicles. As you reach the bus ahead, you will also want to keep an eye out for enemies armed with shotguns. If they get too close to you, they’ll be able to take you out without even batting an eye. Identify them by looking for the enemies brazenly running closer to you instead of maintaining positions hidden behind cover. If you need to, you can even retreat a little bit down the street and fire upon them as they come to you. When all of the shotgunners are dead, push forward taking out any remaining enemies along the way.

You may have killed the enemy shotgunners, but you aren’t out of the woods yet. Further up the street, just past the bus, a group of enemies with RPGs will attack you from hidden positions near the rooftops. This will undoubtedly be the toughest part of this checkpoint. If you are taking cover behind a vehicle, you can easily be killed even if you remain tucked safely behind cover. Remember, the vehicles here are highly explosive! On the other hand, though, when you get out in the open you are fodder for the RPG soldiers and their explosives. The best way to deal with this situation is simply to mop up the soldiers with RPGs as quickly as you can. As soon as you hear your allies call out the presence of RPG soldiers, retreat a little down the street so that you are out of their line of sight. Deploy your Drone if you still have it, or toss Sensor grenades down the street to light up the enemies. Mark them and execute them, taking the closest one on the rooftop out yourself, and proceed farther down the street.

The RPG enemies may have been the toughest part of this checkpoint, but you aren’t out of the woods yet. As you advance down the street, several light vehicles with machine guns on the back will pull up and block your path ahead. Take cover behind the green SUV and issue focus fire orders on the vehicles. Peek out from cover and toss a grenade under the vehicle that your team is currently focusing on to hasten its defeat. If you don’t have any grenades left, note that you can use small arms fire to take the vehicle out too, but it will just take a little longer. When the first vehicle is defeated, mark the second light vehicle and light it up in a similar fashion, using grenades if you have them and small arms fire otherwise. Keep a careful eye on your health, as the vehicles can tear you up if you let them.
