Dragon Age Origins Walkthrough Part 37 – A Paragon of Her Kind, Part 2
With all the side quests grabbed or completed, it is time to head for the Diamond Quarter. It is found along the inside Western part of the circle in the Merchant District just across from the Gem Merchant. Once inside it is time to start making some choices: Harrowmont and Bhelen.
Across from Harrowmont's estate you will find a Weapon Rack you can loot. Also, the Shaperate is found in the Northeastern corner of the Diamond Quarter. This is handy for a side quest so keep it in mind if you did not already make it there or acquire “Chant in the Deeps”. Inside here you can get 2 more side quests. First, closest to the door is Shaper Assistant Milldrate who gives “Thief in the House of Learning”. Just a bit farther in to the left is Orta who gives “Lost to the Memories”. To the left of her you will find a book that gives the Codex Entry: “The Legion of Steel”. Head up the stairs into the back portion of the Shaperate to find numerous codex entries and updates. The “Wall of Memories” just to the left updates the codex regarding Shapers. To the right of that you will find 2 more books. The one in the center of the room gives an update on Dwarven Religion and on the off to the East gives the entry “Legion of the Dead”. Going farther back, in the center on the floor is a book that gives the entry “Traditional Dwarven Folk Songs”. To the left of it is a locked chest that contains at least the gift “The Search for the True Prophet”.
Head into the Royal Palace where you will be able to find one more quests. Head straight forward into the Throne Room and interact with the Throne for the Codex Entry (and quest) “Caged in Stone”.
You can take some time to head into the assembly as well. Talk with Assemblyman Bandelor. He explains the situation in full to you. Until there is a King the Dwarves are tied up in this political battle. It is time to truly take a side and get started on supporting either Bhelen or Harrowmont. You can work on both quests until the completion of the first quest. This is recommended as it will grant the earliest access to the Deep Roads (since Lady Dace needs to get the permission of her father who is in the Deep Roads). You can switch sides easily throughout but you cannot turn in both quests without a stalemate and stopping the plot. It is important to note that regardless of the quest line you follow that you still must choose the new King at the completion of all 3 quests for either side.
For example, after completing either of the first tasks, there are sub-quests specific to both sides that allow you to change from Harrowmont to Bhelen, “Betrayed From Within” and from Bhelen to Harrowmont, “Shifting Alliances. Also, at the end of each quest it is usually possible to betray the person you were just working for. Still, much of what happens after the first quest is the same.
The second and third quests involve the Warden clearing out the Carta and heading into the Deep Roads to search for the Paragon who went in 2 years ago. There are numerous quests available throughout Ozammar and more yet within the Deep Roads.
