Sleeping Dogs Walkthrough: Cracking The Ketamine Racket

You've been on the other side of the fence for a while now; it's about time you return to the Hong Kong police and do them a few favors to stay on their good side. Undercover cop or not, you'll find that you can only get away with so much before the police get on your trail. Head to the blue shield icon to initiate a Cop mission. This one will be your first. You will be tasked with hitting the streets and helping local agents with getting Ketamine off the streets. First, you'll have to hit the B button to bring up your phone and text Ming. He will have you meet up with him at a noodle shop. Leave the door and hop over the fance, and get on the vehicle awaiting you at the base of the stairs.

Follow the tracker on your map to reach the objective. You'll have to head down the road, make a right down a narrow alley, and use this alley to cut back onto the main road, which you can follow all the way to a sharp left-hand turn that will lead you to the meetup point. Hop out of your car or bike and head into the alley. Burst through the metal door and meet up with the man with the yellow icon sitting over his head. Head will be in the back right-hand corner of the area. Speak with him and he will explain that he hasn't been out on the streets since he left Dog Eyes and his employment. Leave the area and get back onto your vehilce. Follow the line on your radar to a basketball court down the street. Here you will find Popstar, the leader of one of the leading drug suppliers in Hong Kong. He wants money in advance for a taste of his supply, though. He'll send you off after a few junkies who haven't paid up. Again, leave the court and hop back into your car.

Turn around the corner and hop the fence to find the enemies in a DVD store. Grab one and shove him into the soda machine on the right for a quick kill, and then grab another and knock him out using the phone booth to the left. A scared man will hand over the money he owes to Popstar. Grab it and head back around the corner to the basketball court. Return the money to Popstar and you will get some of his supply. Just as you make the exchange, the cops will bust your deal. You will be tackled by one of the cops, and you will have to hit the A button quickly as the prompt appears to escape. You will cuff the cop's hands behind his back, but many more are on the way. You are now officially on their radar, and they don't realize that you're actually on their side. You'll want to find a vehicle very quickly. Flee the area and escape from the cops. You can do so by getting yourself outside of the pulsating radius on your mini map, just like in Grand Theft Auto IV. Flee the scene using straightaways and alleys to lose the cops as quickly as possible.

After you have ditched your pursuers, call Ming up and report on your progress so far. You will now have to return to the precinct and report your evidence. Ride your vehicle up to the stairs next to the waypoint marker, get out of the vehicle, and head through the metal door to reach the restaurant where you will be meeting up. You can find Ming pacing back and forth by the table where he could be found earlier. Report your success to the junkie and your mission will be completed, granting you extra Cop experience on your experience meter.
