Tom Orry, Editorial Director - FIFA 15, PS4

Every year I sit down to play the new FIFA for the first time and fail to score. This usually lasts for a handful of games, where I simply can't beat the keeper. I'm not sure why, as others seem perfectly capable of scoring from the off, but it lead to an embarrassing defeat to @thebratterz in our office tournament - something I'll struggle to live with.

Destiny. Destiny, Destiny, Destiny. I've been playing it so long I don't remember anything else. Destiny. Des-tiny. De-stiny. (Des-tin-y?) Dinklebot rules all, it seems. Genocide on an interplanetary scale. Good PvP. Feel like Galactic NATO may want to have a few words about my actions.

Read me say real things about it here.

I wouldn't want to be in Burns' position for this one because, as underwhelming as some of it may be, Destiny's still a lovely, lovely game. We've already spoken at length about the things it does and doesn't do well so I won't repeat that here, but what I am interested in seeing is how well it holds up in the immediate future.

It's destined to be successful, of course, but will it have the ongoing word of mouth success of games like the original Borderlands, or will it be a victim of its own hype, peaking on week one and petering out in the following months? Bungie's in it for the long game, but unless it can add a little more variety soon, will the fans be?

I’ve been playing Destiny’s campaign solo for the most part, and am still having a whale of a time. As I mentioned on our podcast special, it just clicks with me. The Halo series is my favourite shooter, and Bungie has brought with it a similar style to Destiny, which is exactly what I wanted.

Everyone’s criticisms of Destiny have been spot on (for the most part, of course there are the few that fly off the handle), but again, none of the issues have been enough to dissuade me from the core experience. I hope there’ll be more content coming in the following months, and the DLC certainly needs to offer more multiplayer modes, as four is nowhere near enough. But I’m excited for what Bungie can bring to a solid foundation.
