Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Walkthrough Part 22 – Garrison Liberation Part 3
Garrison (X:502.6 , Y:417.5)
This garrison houses 8 soldiers, 1 sappers, 1 Sniper and one pair of Soldiers in a car doing a patrol. The Sniper stands in the tall tower guarding the Mega-Shield controls. There is a Cyber-Soldier who patrols the dock on the Eastern side of the Garrison. There a Soldier and a Sapper that patrol the stairs going up to the garrison itself from the dock with another soldier patrolling around the top of the stairs. One Soldier patrols near the entrance to the inside of the garrison while another walks somewhere around the center.
Disabling the Alarm
This is one of those rare cases you want to approach from the river even though it is guarded. You can get to the Eastern edge of the North dock. Wait for the Cyber-Soldier to get close and then you can get him with a Death from Below Takedown. Work your way up the stairs to the garrison itself. Kill of the pair that patrols the stairs then quickly get at the Soldier at the top of the stairs. From there go over to the right and past the spiral stairs toward the switch-back stairs. To the right of the stairs you will find the alarm.
Disabling the Mega-Shield
From the alarm head on up the switch-back stairs and over to the tower on the right. Rex has a Sniper to deal with on this tower. Just quickly and quietly take him out while he is looking through his scope.
Sidequest
Head over to the Adventure Cabinet to access the Hostage Rescue, “Ruining Everything.”
Garrison (X:476.7 , Y:470.3)
This is an odd garrison as it is mostly inside a mountain. You will want to approach from the mountainside itself, coming up the from the South. This will let you crest the mountain and see a Braincaged Blood Dragon. For a very easy time, just shoot the braincage off the Blood Dragon's head and its nature will take care of the rest. Otherwise just head into the elevator shaft to the Southeast from the marker for the Garrison.
This garrison houses 1 Braincaged Blood Dragon, 3 soldiers, 1 mounted vehicle, 2 Heavies.
Disabling the Alarm
Drop down the elevator shaft to the Southeast of the Marker for the garrison. Just in front of Rex, once he is inside the elevator car itself, he will see an alarm panel. There is a Cyber-Soldier who patrols this area so move out carefully once you have confirmed his location (and marked him). He will patrol right past the elevator so wait from to come, kill him then move out to disable the alarm system. You can use this trick on another soldier who follows much the same patrol path but stops at the Alarm control panel. This can lead to the third soldier walking up to find out what happened. 3 for 1 is never a bad thing.
Disabling the Mega-Shield
Continue forward from the Alarm panel and follow the walkway over to the left then to the right. You will find the control button for the Mega-Shield just sitting there, unguarded.
