Metro: Last Light Walkthrough Part 31– The Depot, Part 2

As you make it down the stairs you will find the Dark One again. He explains that he sees a lot of people who are very eager to kill. Follow him through the tunnel and find the stairs that lead up to the floor above. Time to start dealing with the soldiers up here. Move forward, from each soldier to the next. You can either kill them or knock them out. It is very easy to simply sweep forward.

The first soldier is straight ahead. It is easy enough to move up on him and take him down. Head around the boxes over to the left from there. There is another soldier there. Take him down as well. Look ahead now to the other side of the room. You will see third soldier in a kneel. If you can snipe him quietly, do so. Otherwise you will want to head along the right-hand side of the passage where it is dark and creep up on him to take him down.

After that start over to the left, along the right-hand side in the shadows. Listen into the conversation then head to the right. Look in the floor and you will find a porthole. Go down it into the bowels of this building. Follow the tunnel forward but be careful. At the far end of it is a guard. You will want to Snipe him as soon as you can. If not he will go up and alert the numerous soldiers above to Artyom's coming. This is not really an area you want to be fighting through. There are a good 6 Guards, which includes at least 1 Heavy for you to deal with. Still, there are 2 to the left, 3 down the center and in the side room to the left. Take out the ones to the left first but it is best to do with head shots, otherwise you start the fight (which is likely to happen anyway). After that, quickly turn to face the 3 guards who are down the center of the room. Kill them quickly then head for the opposite side of the room and go over to the left. Look through the doorway and you will see the final guard who is likely in position trying to spot Artyom. Line up a quick shot and take him down.

With all the guards dead, loot the bodies then head into the side room and along that walkway. At the end of it you will find a door. Go on through it and over to the right and through the next door. There are a lot of Reds in this room that you will have to deal with one way or another. This is one room where Stealth is the better option.

Start by going over to the right then forward. Ignore the guard up on the walkway for now and move into the train car. There is a Red inside there you want to kill first. Now head down to the end of the car and look out to the left, across the room. You will see another guard in a squat position. Snipe him then start forward slowly to the right. You have a pair of guards at the far end you need to deal with. Take them out one at a time then head up the nearby stairs and through the room at the top. Once through the room go through the door in the back of it. Things black out and you learn a bit more of what is going on: Lesnitsky gave them the virus.

In the very back you will find yourself given a choice: Knock him out or kill him. This is a big choice (Good or Bad Ending level) so think about where you want to go from here. Make the choice and then start moving on forward. That will get you onto the next chapter.
