Heart of the Swarm Campaign- Char: Old Soldiers
Your final mission on Char, the goal here is to destroy General Warfield's fortress. During this mission you will gain access to aberrations, you have a shot at gathering two more levels for Sarah, and you will afterwards be able to evolve banelings into a more useful form.
The mission opens with a view of the massive gate protecting the General's forces. Behind here lie the buildings and units that you need to eliminate. What's more, Warfield is preparing to unleash nuclear bombs on your units, so you need to act quickly. You open up with Kerrigan and a massive force of zerglings and banelings, which you are to use to dish out as much damage as possible while Zagara sets up a base for gathering resources and producing additional attackers.
You have three enemy bases you are angling for initially- one just inside the gate, and one each to the Northwest and Southeast. As you destroy each base, you will gain an addition to your force from Zagara, each added group of units roughly equal to your initial force, minus Sarah. In order to accomplish your goal within the timer that counts down to the General's nuclear strike, you will need to quickly toggle the banelings' attack so that they can use it against structures- the added damage has an immense effect on how quickly you tear into the bases.
When the timer runs out, Warfield will drop nukes, destroying Zagara's incoming surge of units, everything you have on the field aside from Kerrigan herself, and all of the units waiting in Zagara's base aside from her gathering drones. With the nukes dropped, Sarah will point out that continued bombardment from the Dominion army will stave off any assault- you're going to need to break your way into the base and pierce through to Warfield's main stronghold. Zagara offers you a new creation to aid you- the aberration. These light-armor large-size high-damage units will be key to overcoming the Terran heavy machines, as they all have advantage against heavy armor. Quickly ramp up your resource income while you camp out in Zagara's base- there is only one entrance to it, so you won't have to worry about splitting your forces until you go on the offensive.
