Cubeworld Alpha- Getting Started (Part Two)
The Ranger class is for archery, using fairly light armor and attacking with a bow. Your archery skills will be focused on either hitting frequently and pulling off a large number of special attacks, or concealing yourself regularly to generate power for abilities and deal extra damage on your first attack when you become visible again.
The Mage class uses an inverted method to power its abilities, having a full MP bar by default that regenerates over time. Additionally, where the other classes either only have a single kind of attack or change attacks based on the weapon they have equipped, a Mage chooses between Fire and Water specializations, and that choice alters the element of their attack.
Rogues get to choose between being an Assassin and a Ninja- Assassin specialization causes special attacks to improve the rogue’s Stealth, which then improves their damage and critical chance and generates MP, whereas the Ninja specialization lets the rogue automatically dodge enemy attacks while they’re performing a special attack and gain MP each time they dodge as well as making special attacks performed after a dodge automatically hit critically.
Your fourth alteration is to decide on the ‘face’ of your character. This actually doesn’t change the face itself- only the eye and skin colors your character uses. Generally, there are three ‘light’ and three ‘dark’ skinned options for this, so the range is rather limited.
Your last list-choice here is between haircut styles. Each race has up to eight different haircuts available, most of them shoulder-length or shorter. Lizards will get to select a scale-ridge shape instead, and frogs will get a selection of eye types.
Finally, you will get to use the palette at the bottom to choose the color of your character’s hair. Lizards will get to change the color of their scale ridges, and frogs sadly don’t get to use the palette for anything.
