Farmville: How to Expand Your Farm

In Farmville, the default size of your farm is 12×12, but you can increase the size of your farm over time by adding neighbors, or alternately by purchasing them with farmville cash.

Here is a list of the size of the farms you can upgrade to, how many neighbors you need to purchase them, and how much they cost.

Default Farm – 12×12 – 0 Neighbors – Free
Homestead – 14×14 – 8 Neighbors – 10,000 Coins or 20 FV
Family Farm – 16×16 – 9 Neighbors – 25,000 Coins or 20 FV
Big Family Farm – 18×18 – 13 Neighbors – 50,000 Coins or 20 FV
Plantation – 20×20 – 16 Neighbors – 75,000 Coins or 20 FV
Big Ole Plantation – 22×22 – 20 Neighbors – 250,000 Coins or 10 FV
Mighty Plantation – 24×24 – 30 Neighbors – 500,000 Coins or 12 FV
Grand Plantation – 26×26 – 1 Neighbor – 500,000 Coins or 15 FV
Farm Estate – 30×30 – 1 Neighbor – 4,000,000 Coins or 120 FV

Once you reach the amount of neighbors you need, open the market and go to the Farm Aides tab, and click on the Expand Farm group. Here you will see all of the expansions you are currently able to purchase.

You have to purchase them in order of size, so you can’t just skip to the bigger ones and purchase them even if you have the coins. I’m unsure at this time if purchasing them with FV allows you to skip them or not.
