This was a tricky game to review. While there are many reasons why Lifeless Planet is the 5/10 experience I said it was, the game has a curious ability to hang around in my head. I even had a dream I was exploring an alien planet, this time with my wife and young son, who happened to be riding on a robotic dog. While that dream sounds like a more entertaining adventure than the one in Lifeless Planet, there's clearly no denying that my time playing an astronaut had some impact on me.
Well, this is annoying. I've been playing a game for Wii U which a) I can't talk about and b) is actually really rather good. I know, I know. In fact, YOU probably know what game it is. But due to agreements and courtesy and catastrophic legal action, we can't name it. Shhh.
Still, review next week.
I've also been playing PES. But then you already knew that.
I’ve been playing an awful lot of House of Wolves this week to try and reach the new level cap as quickly as possible. I’m finally at the previous level 32 cap, thanks to some early armour rewards, making the game feel much less of a grind and allowing me to jump straight into the higher-level challenges offered in the new DLC.
I was disappointed by Xur’s first appearance following the launch of HoW, as I was expecting to be able to spend some coins and Motes on new gear, but I still bought The Last Word, having been killed far to many times by hand cannons in PvP.
Hopefully I’ll be ready to take on the higher tiers of Prison of Elders very soon but, having just completed the level 32 run, am expecting a tremendous challenge.
