There are plenty of collectibles to find in Metal Gear Solid Rising: Revengeance. These collectibles can unlock new weapons or items, and they grant the player achievements and trophies. One particular collectible is known as ID Chips or Left Arms, and these collectibles must be severed off of various enemies in Blade Mode. There are 30 to find total, and getting all of them unlocks the 20 point achievement or bronze trophy A Big Fan of Lefties. You’ll also get the Infinite Wig A, Infinite Wig B, HF Machete, and Armor Breaker rewards. Need some help finding them all? Use our guide.
You will need to be in Blade Mode to slice off any limbs. The best way to get an arm off is to aim for the wrist area. Use a stealth kill for the best results, as this will make it easy to line yourself up. If you are in a group of enemies, take out the other guys first so you can focus on the Lefty. If you are having trouble cutting off the arm, you can always restart from your last checkpoint.
This cyborg is found after you find the second hostage. Don’t worry, its arm will respawn as part of the story event. It will still count as long as you cut it off once.
At the hotel roof, look for the small playground on the way to the factory. In one of the first enemy groups, there is an enemy with an ID Chip.
After you pass the Ferris wheel, find another Lefty patrolling the area. He’s unarmored.
Inside the factory, find this enemy on the upper catwalk. It is in the second warehouse room.
Inside the lab, after you get contacted by the Doktor, you can find a group of three cyborgs. One is the Lefty.
This one is in the room you have to sneak through with the Dwarf Gekko. Use it to stun the cyborg and then you can easily cut his arm off as Raiden.
After you battle the GRAD UG tank, there will be two rocket cyborgs. One of them has an ID Chip on their left arm.
This cyborg is the guy who taunts you in the cut-scene. He’s wearing a blue police cap.
After you land, defeat the two GRAD UGs. A cyborg cop will approach the area from the west side. This guy has the chip.
After you finish an area with a Dwarf and Combat Gekko, you’ll get attacked by a group of soldiers. One of these rocket soldiers has an ID Chip.
When you are going to jump off of a crane arm to the rooftop, look for a flying cyborg nearby who has an ID Chip.
When you get to a hostage, there will be a Lefty on the nearby rooftop. It’s a Denver cop cyborg.
After you exit the tunnel, you’ll be attacked by a group of enemies with a GRAD UG. One of the cyborgs has a chip.
After you get attacked at the subway station exit, look for another enemy guarding a short set of stairs. This guy is a Lefty.
After you get de-powered, finish going up the long stairway and find an enemy on one of the stairwell rests.
In the concierge area, there will be four cyborgs that attack. Find the one that has an ID Chip and slice his arm off.
When you are fighting at the elevator, one of the soldiers with a shield will be a Lefty.
When you reach the 20th floor, look for a rocket cyborg who has an ID Chip. You can stealth kill him.
This one is tricky, as it doesn’t always appear. To get it to appear, you need to destroy at least two of the electrical panels of floor 20 without causing an alert. Use stealth kills, drums, and cardboard boxes to remain unseen in order to get this guy to appear. Once you get the message “Enemy headed your way”, you can find the Lefty in the northeast room.
In the first area of the Japanese tea garden, the enemy with a katana has an ID Chip.
In the Japanese-style streets, there is a patrolling armored cyborg that has one of the collectibles.
At the freight elevator, one of the enemies will be a Lefty. You can try to stealth kill here for the best results.
When you are on your second freight elevator ride, you’ll encounter a hammer cyborg who has an ID Chip.
You will be attacked by two katana cyborgs soon after you begin the level. One of them is a Lefty with an ID Chip.
You will encounter a hammer cyborg after the first trio of Gekko. This guy has an ID Chip.
When you come to a plaza with a hostage, you’ll be attacked by some enemies. One of them will have a chip on them.
At the main gate, there will be a guard with an ID Chip in the group of 3 enemies.
After the main gate, you’ll encounter an armored hammer cyborg. This guy is a Lefty.
Inside the hangar, find an armored cyborg who has an ID Chip.
The last Left Arm is on an armored cyborg outside the hangar. Take off his armor before slicing off the limb.
