Get ready to roll a new champion to once again face down death itself, Diablo 3 Season 4 is starting in just a couple of weeks on Friday, August 28 at 5pm PT. Though no end date is set, devs promise at least three months worth of game play for you to get a new character to max level and reap the rewards, including Malthael’s Phantom mount for your Heroes of the Storm account.
Some new features are also arriving with Season 4, including new Seasonal Objectives which not only track your progress, but rewards you with a new custom portrait and cosmetic pet in-game. Conquests (aka Seasonal Achievements with Leaderboards) make their return to the game, and Seasonal cosmetic pieces you may have missed previously have returned, specifically the head and shoulder pieces.
In addition to all this, Patch 2.3.0 will likely be live already, bringing revamped crafting, legendaries and Torment X-level difficulty as well as the new Ruins of Sescheron zone. And let’s not forget Kanai’s Cube!
If you are new to Seasonal adventuring, don’t worry about your progress disappearing at the end of the Season. The character you level along with with all their gear, inventory, items, gold and crafting recipes will roll over to your main account when the season ends.
