“The SSG 08 bolt-action is a low-damage but very cost-effective sniper rifle, making it a smart choice for early-round long-range marksmanship.” The SSG 08 is cheap and its rate of fire is little faster than the AWP. In early rounds, players who wish to snipe can buy this weapon. In later rounds, the SSG 08 is often used by players on the losing side or/and players who have insufficient money to purchase superior sniper rifles. Usually, the SSG 08 is replaced by more powerful (expensive, and heavier) sniper rifles like the AWP and semi-auto sniper rifles.

Quite for a sniper rifle

Disadvantages:

Low rate of fire
Inflicts low damage for a sniper rifle
Long reload times

Tips:

Buy on early rounds if yu won the pistol round as the other team will most likely not have amour
Take cover after firing each shot so you chamber back the gun
Go for headshots as the scope is a lot better than the AWP
Make sure you have a good side arm with you for close quarters
Try and crouch for extra accuracy
