In MMO beta news this week, sci-fi sandbox The Repopulation has added Silver Membership to its early access packs for $20 (£14.99) and is available through Steam and their website. The package offers early access, Silver Membership, Name Reservation, and 1 Repop Token. This same pack was previously $50 and higher packages are also available. It has been revealed this week that Warhammer 40K: Eternal Crusade’s early access and closed beta access will be available only to paid founder’s and is currently expected in Autumn 2015. Hack & slash MMORPG, Lineage Eternal, will be entering global closed beta testing in the second half of 2015, which means a Western release simultaneous to its initial releases in Asia. Blizzard’s entry into the MOBA scene, Heroes of the Storm, added a Mardi Gras bundle which unlocks Carnival-themed skins for Nazeebo.

Independent studio Illfonic has announced that its Lovecraftian horror open world sandbox MMORPG, Revival, will open its doors as soon as this month. They will be releasing the game to founder’s in six stages, this first one being the housing, though it won’t be releasing the online portion of the game until stage three. SkySaga opened its alpha to players in the US and Canada on the 19th and is available for sign ups right now. Also taking applications for their closed beta test is World of Tanks Generals, Wargaming’s World War themed collectible card game.

Further discomfort over crowdfunded gaming this week as an artist working for The Stomping Land, a multiplayer survival game featuring dinosaurs, has revealed that he stopped working on the game last month as he can’t get a hold of the creator. It seems as though the game has been abandoned causing understandable frustration amongst backers and other gaming fans alike. Still, for every The Stomping Land, there are many many others who do the crowdfunding thing right with regular updates to backers and their games.
