Last week we talked a little about Project Genom and their Steam Greenlight campaign, and on July 13th the team successfully completed their campaign. Way to go, guys!
Of course, the elephant in the room this week has been Derek Smart’s attack on Star Citizen. With claims that the game cannot and will not deliver what has been promised and the FTC should investigate. Whether he has a point or not is all up to speculation but his lengthy ravings sure have turned heads over the past week.
Skyforge is now in Open Beta after a few launch hiccups. Free for all to play from now on, there are no server wipes planned.
Meanwhile, Armored Warfare’s third Early Access has been extended until July 21st.
Call of Champions began their Closed Beta period July 15th with fellow MOBA Supernova announcing that they will launch into Closed Beta July 23rd.
Das Tal are holding their next playtest this weekend on July 19th with a number of improvements since the last one including small open-world events and player movement will now be influenced by terrain, with roads increasing speed, while bushes will decrease it.
Shards Online kicked off their Pre-Alpha phase July 14th, putting server tools into the hands of Pre-Alpha server admins at last.
And The Repopulation introduced a new patch which revamped the game’s tutorial and added in ‘mentors’ to better teach new players how the game’s sandbox environment works.
