This past week in Beta news saw the relaunch of indie MMORPG Project Gorgon’s Kickstarter. This is the third time they’re going for funding and this time it looks as though they will see some success as at time of writing they are 90% funded after just one week of their campaign going live! Hopefully soon we’ll see some stretch goals.
Shroud of the Avatar are wiping their servers to implement their latest update of bug fixes and optimizations, but players will have an XP boost post-wipe to help them catch back up to where they were. This update also introduces Trolls, the first large race, and pet taming.
Das Tal previewed an entirely new biome this week! We’ve gotten so use to seeing the browns of their desert biome that the new mountain area is quite surprising to see. Take a look.
Albion Online wrapped up their summer Alpha test, which was a great success, and talked about the roadmap to Closed Beta which is pretty exciting.
And we’re also excited to hear about the opening of Daum’s new European office, indicating Black Desert’s first steps towards coming to the west!
Adult MMO Venus Rising, loosely based on Greek mythology, entered Closed Beta in the week and we really can’t talk about this one without immature sexual puns so moving right along.
Music Man Online is now in Open Beta, so go forth and dance your way to internet popularity. Or something. It exists. Enjoy.
The Repopulation launched patch 15.7.1 which added in a music mini-game, facial tattoos for male character models, combat tweaks and a bunch more fun stuff.
Vehicle combat MMO Armored Warfare revealed their fourth Early Access dates for August 13-30, which will be the first 24/7 Early Access test!
ArenaNet announced their first Beta weekend event for Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns pre-purchasers beginning the weekend after Gamescom 2015.
Finally, Skyforge talked about their upcoming patch ‘Crucible of the Gods’, coming to the game on August 11th. This huge patch unlocks Divine Form and end game PvE content.
