Beta Data: August 28, 2015 .

This week has gone by pretty fast. Perhaps it’s the whiff of PAX Prime in the air, or maybe it’s just that end of August feeling. Either way, the week has most definitely not been without Beta news, and where better to begin than Divinity: Original Sin 2 and its impressive Kickstarter. They blew through their initial Kickstarter goal of $600,000 in less than 12 hours and at time of writing have raised over $800,000. While it is a single-player game, the co-op and competitive multiplayer aspects of the game are so good.

Meanwhile, Project Gorgon’s Kickstarter came to an end and will soon be moving from an Open Alpha state to a backer-only Alpha. And Eco’s Kickstarter reached their funding goal, now sitting at over $120,000 with less than two weeks left.

For those of you waiting on Crowfall news, it seems they are heading into Pre-Alpha very shortly! This will be a very limited test with the intent to polish core aspects before full Alpha begins and folk heading into the Pre-Alpha should remember that a lot of art assets are not yet complete.

The Repopulation went live with their patch this week which brought a new PvP engagement, 3D model previews, and many combat tweaks. You can check out the full patch notes here, and remember, the game is currently on sale until next Friday to celebrate PAX Prime.

Open Alpha testing began for two free to play browser MMOs this week. Winterfrost Legacy, a new fantasy MMORPG from R2 Games, and Tiny Mighty, a colorful superhero MMO from AMZGames.

The Daredevil has been revealed as the Thief’s elite specialization for Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns, who are today celebrating their third anniversary since launch, and tomorrow should see the reveal of the game’s “challenging group content” at PAX. Though keen eyed internet goers may well have seen a certain leak.

Otherland was due to enter into Early Access this week though had to postpone in order to introduce US servers, as well as iron out a few bugs they’ve uncovered. They have since revealed the new Early Access date to be September 10th and it will be a better game for it.

Tomorrow, the sandbox MMORPG Linkrealms will begin their summer Closed Beta test. All players lucky enough to be registered with a valid beta key can hop right in and enjoy their new game world.

Shroud of the Avatar introduced Release 21 which completely overhauls their skill progression system to an on-use system. There are also a lot of changes to crafting and new maps to explore.

Last but not least, ARK: Survival Evolved is free to play on Steam this weekend so make sure you check that out if you haven’t yet, it is the perfect opportunity.
