Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege

Where has this week gone? I’m not sure whether it’s the post-Thanksgiving/beginning of December atmosphere, or something else entirely but it feels like it has gone by in a flash and before we knew it, a bunch of new games had left Beta phases for official launches. I’m not even kidding. We’ll begin with Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, the first Rainbow Six title to launch in 7 years, which launched on December 1st and has been receiving some pretty positive reviews.

On December 2nd, hardcore MMORPG Sphere 3: Enchanted World launched following a short run in Open Beta.

And on the same day, EVE Gunjack, announced earlier this year, launched for Samsung Gear VR, available now from the Oculus Store.

Following on December 3rd, Rooster Teeth’s hack n’ slash RWBY game, with up to 4 player co-op multiplayer, launched through Steam Early Access.

Devilian went ahead and launched into Open Beta, also on December 3rd. This will be running over this weekend, ending Sunday at 10pm (PST).

Elite: Dangerous launched the Beta for their Horizons expansion this week, also, bringing planetary landings to the already massive game.

Meanwhile, Black Desert Online are preparing for their upcoming Closed Beta test by opening up Beta sign-ups so go forth and sign up for that, or purchase a pre-order pack for guaranteed access, if that’s something you would be interested in.

Crowfall kicked off Alpha 1.1 with lots of improvements to their Hunger Dome, most notably color and textures have been added to the game world – no more gray boxes! Pre-Alpha 2.0 should be on the way early 2016.

Hi-Rez have introduced the first of (most probably) many new champions to the now-ongoing Paladins Beta. Evie, the Winter Witch.

You can now explore a whole new region known as the Wood Isle in Otherland, with 70 new quests and a bunch of other changes and fixes including combat improvements and a raised level cap.

And World of Warcraft’s Legion Alpha has invited a bunch more players this past week, introduced two new zones, and we’ve seen new models and images from the new expansion across the board. It’s a good time to be a WoW fan!
