WOW Druid Leveling Guide

WOW Druid Leveling Guide

Congratulations, you have decided to play a Druid.
If this is the first time you have played a Druid you should find this information helpful to help get you going. We'll be talking about the world of warcraft Druid and some proven strategies of play that will get you off on the right foot.

When starting out as a Druid in the original world of warcraft you have two races to choose from. For the Alliance Druid, the night elf is the race you will have to be. For the Horde Druid, the tauren is the race you will have to choose. With the Cataclysm expansion pack your choices for Alliance will be night elf or worgen and for the Horde you can play a tauren or troll. Examine the differences between the available races for the Druid before deciding on joining the Alliance or Horde.

Some points to consider when choosing a Druid race:

The night elf is a race of stealth having a dodge bonus that greatly helps the night elf avoid complicated hand to hand situations. Night elves are also very prone to sneaking around using the Prowl spell making them effective scouts. For more of a melee Druid you should consider the tauren which has a natural 5% increased health benefit making them a fine race to be a Druid melee character.
War Stomp is a neat skill of the tauren race which lets you stun your enemies, letting you do extra damage for a period of time.

In the beginning, keep things simple for your character to make the first few levels a little easier to get through. For the first several levels simply get a feel of your character and what you are able to do. Keep yourself out of harms way by avoiding long periods of fighting.

Stay clear of hand to hand combat when just starting out, try to fight from afar. But don't misinterpret this as just fooling around. Focus your efforts on questing and be sure not to miss any quests. Double check each zone you are in to be sure that you have completed all the quests available.

Practice,practice,practice.
While in any given zone of world of warcraft get all the lessons of any trainers available. Get some insight on which professions might work best for your chosen character. Take some time out to learn about the different world of warcraft professions
available. Different character class and race combinations will need different professions and secondary skills, so check into which will help you the most. It might be a little early to mention this but try to save a little gold so at level 20 you will be able to purchase a mount making it much quicker to travel in world of warcraft.

Thanks and Happy Gaming.
