Hearthstone: Fatigue and Running Out of Cards

Hearthstone

Hearthstone

No matter which class you’re up against, running out of cards in Hearthstone is never a good thing. We’re not talking about not having any cards left in your hard - we’re talking about not having any cards left whatsoever during a match. Without cards, all you can do is cast your hero power. But will that be enough to win? Probably not.

While individual matches usually won’t run any longer than a couple of minutes in this free-to-play card game, you have to be prepared for everything. Especially paladins and priests have a tendency to drag out challenges, with their slightly overpowered healing abilities. If you find yourself in a longer-than-average match, you should have at least heard about what happens when you've played every card in your deck. What’s fatigue, what does it do and when does it occur?

You'll take six damage next turn.

When you have exhausted your deck in a Hearthstone duel, a game mechanic called fatigue comes into play. Instead of drawing a new card every turn, you will take damage. It starts with just one point at first, but you'll notice another point added per round. That’s your cue to defeat your opponent as quickly as you can, otherwise you’ll succumb to the weakness the lack of cards has caused.
