Star Wars - The Old Republic: Quick Guide to Galactic Strongholds Housing

With the release of Galactic Strongholds, Star Wars: The Old Republic players have a chance of building their very own home. The newly introduced housing system has been demanded by the community for a long time, so what should you know before moving into a stronghold? To give you a few pointers, we have prepared a little preview of the free-to-play expansion in  SW:toR as a little heads up or beginner guide - depending on when you are reading this. Onwards and upwards!

Starter Requirements

Do it yourself - Star Wars style.

First of all, you need a character that has reached level 15 before purchasing a home. Only then will you receive a quest that will allow you to make your way to the Stronghold Directory, a place where you can either set foot into other players’ homes or acquire your own Star Wars dream house. The price for each and every apartment (or villa, for all you rich bastards out there) will vary and cost you either in-game currency or Cartel Coins. The good thing, though? Your humble abode will give every character of your legacy a home and ultimately offer 8 to 12 separate rooms. You start out with only one room, however, and adjacent chambers will cost you extra.

Decorations, Decorations

"A customizable bastion of military might and personal luxury."

Now that you have room to put down your snazzy trophies, you need to get your hands on decorations. There are a couple of ways to add more décor to your Galactic Stronghold. Decorations are available...
... as purchasable items at vendors... as player-versus-player rewards... as Crew Skill mission rewards... as Reputation rewards... as Operation and Flash Point drops... as Crafting artifacts and components... as Cartel Market premium items

Time to Invite Others

No one can resist a good party. Not even Jedi knights!

After decking out your Star Wars luxury home with the appropriate interior decorations, it's time to show off your creation to friends, guild members and even strangers. How can you do that? By sending out temporary invites, giving out a permanent key or adding it to the so-called Public Listing.
