Plants vs. Zombies 2: Survive Level 13 of Frostbite Caves

Frostbite Caves

Frostbite Caves

Have you been trying to make it through the Frostbite Caves in Plants vs. Zombies 2? If you’re stuck in level 13, you might want to read through our walkthrough to finally defeat those pesky zombies. Any level that features a Gargantuar zombie is usually quite difficult to beat in the tower defense game. Level 13 features not only the Sloth Gargantuar, but also Yeti Imps and Cave, Conehead, Buckethead, Blockhead, and Hunter Zombies. As if that wasn’t enough, the stage includes four huge waves of the walking dead. Your goal in this level is to prevent the zombies from trampling over the line of flowers that is placed between the first and second row from the left. We recommend equipping yourself with Sun-Shrooms, Lighting Reeds, Infi-Nuts, Bowling Bulbs, Pepper-Pults, Hot Potatoes, and Chard Guards.

Plant five Sun-Shrooms as quickly as possible. Since they are so cheap and constantly grow, you will not have to worry at all about sunlight in this level. Defend yourself against the first and second zombie by planting Lighting Reeds. Positioning Infi-Nuts between the two pointers would be a recommendable next step. Switch this off with placing Pepper-Pults and Bowling Bulbs in front of and next to the Lightning Reeds. Make sure to save at least three leaves until the Sloth Gargantuar appears during the final wave of zombies. If your setup looks like ours in the screenshot above, you should have no problem making it through this stage.
