Don’t focus on one type of soldiers or troops alone. As each troop type is strong or weak against another, you want to have a good mix of infantry, cavalry, and ranged fighters. You should also focus on training your army as affordably as possible, which should be very easy in this game.
You should also have your workers building something – don’t let them go idle. And it doesn’t even have to be an important structure, just as long as there’s some sort of construction ongoing.
This would apply to all types of resources, may it be basics like wood and food or more advanced rewards like iron and mithril. Remember that other players won’t be able to steal your rewards before you actually collect them. Once you collect these resources, everyone else would want to have dibs on them, so don’t collect unless it’s absolutely necessary.
As we said above, the social element of Clash of Kings is inescapable. We’re talking MMORTS here, so this isn’t your typical human-vs-computer-AI mobile game we’re talking about here. However, not everyone you’ll encounter in this game would still be active; these are the ones you want to attack. If you notice that somebody has seemingly stopped playing the game, go ahead and attack them if you want to get some farming done easy. It’s easy to spot these inactive players, as chances are they haven’t leveled up in a while, and don’t have any defenses protecting them.
For 250 gold, you can buy yourself a temporary builder, though this builder will only be yours for two days. Having more than one builder, of course, doubles the speed of construction, so seize the day and take advantage of the faster progress.
You’ll need to do both if you want to outdo the competition. Go to the college for researching new tech, and head to the forge if you want to unlock new and more powerful weapons. Both can help you get that all-important edge over other players.
