Always refer to your quests journal, because you’ll always have something to do and some goals to meet. This should be the first thing you do whenever you start a play session, and whenever you’re in doubt as to what you should do next, the quests journal will be your best friend. Of course, you’ll get rewards for accomplishing these quests, so everything is going to be worth it for you.
In the game, you’ll have three production queues – one for research, one for training, and one for building. You can have something happening in all three queues at the same time, and in fact, you should have something happening in those queues. Always remember that a busy city is a productive city.
As you begin the game, you’ll be able to hatch your first dragon. It’s not going to be a particularly strong dragon, which is why raising it the right way is very, very important. For starters, feed it so you can give it more experience, allowing its stats to improve and for the dragon itself to level up. In addition, you can have your dragon search for treasure once it’s at Level 4; be careful when doing this, though, as you won’t get any help from your dragon on attack or on defense while it’s hunting for treasure.
Be sure your attack party is properly managed before you go off to battle. You need a general and your choice of troops, while a dragon is recommended, but optional. So how do you manage your troops? One way would be to sacrifice weaker generals to enhance your base general’s strength. Of course, you need enough troops to match up with your enemy. Lastly, you should place generals in the right slot (e.g. Amazon, Primus, Solerian, Zolmet) should they have passive faction buffs.
As Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon runs off Kabam’s website, it’s imperative that you create an account on the site. Why should you do this? Simply put, this allows you to save your progress regardless of the device you’re using. You’ll also get a nice bonus for signing up to Kabam and linking your game – that’s 25 rubies and 80,000 units of food, metal, stone, and wood. That’s 80,000 of each, and you’ll really need those resources if you’re serious about Dragons of Atlantis.
