Nanobit Software’s new game Hollywood Story is one of the growing number of celebrity simulators that allow you to keep up with the hottest celebrities in Tinseltown. It’s only available for iOS devices at the moment, and in this game, you can build your own movie star career, dominate the red carpets throughout the city, hang out with fans, friends, and followers, shoot awesome blockbusters, and become a true Hollywood icon. As you progress through the game, you’ll get to meet more Hollywood stars and unlock different parts of the city, while potentially making the covers of the juiciest showbiz rags. On a strange note, there is actually no Hollywood in here, as you’re going to make your way up from the bottom in New York. This weird quirk aside, we’ve come up with a couple of Hollywood Story tips, tricks and cheats to help make you a celebrity A-lister in no time.

1. Sometimes Junk Can Be Helpful

In a nutshell, Hollywood Story has you working your way from the bottom to the top and going through audition after audition. These would require you to have certain items with you, and sometimes you may end up finding some junk (e.g. old newspapers or trash cans themselves) that may help you get in. Just keep searching any item you can find, even if it’s essentially a pile of garbage.

2. Take Advantage Of The Game’s Bug

As of this writing, there is a bug wherein the energy timer will take a mere second to regenerate one energy point. Take full advantage of the bug while Nanobit hasn’t squashed it – this could allow you to go to as many auditions as possible without having to actually cheat. But once the bug is taken care of, that’s when you can do the time lapse cheat (setting the time forward on your device) in order to get your energy back quickly.

3. Use The Aforementioned Bug To Level Up Your Skills Faster

The bug we told you about in the above tip can also help you when you work on your skills at the gym (body skills) or at the drama factory (charisma, drama, creativity). Keep on exploiting the bug until your skills are as high as possible – the better your skills are, the better the chances of drawing in a lot of fans from an audition.

4. Follow The Quests On The Map

The map is found on the upper right hand side of your display, and if there are quests for you to complete, simply tap on the areas that are highlighted in yellow. You can also tap on non-highlighted areas without any issue and you’ll be directed there, just as you would when tapping on those with yellow highlights.

5. Always Remember To Audition

Forgetting to audition can lose you some fans, which makes it very important not to go to your agent’s office if you may not be playing Hollywood Story for some time. Auditioning regularly, however, will allow you to earn more fans, so make sure to audition as often as your game-playing schedule would allow.
