If you are looking forward for a new game for your iOS, I mean real new application with new concept, well you better try to play MildMania’s Darklings. Here you will play Lum as main protagonist on his adventure as he captures demon souls by letting you draw patterns that appear over his enemies. The challenge is not ended there since you need to be rush before they touch Lum or else game over. Of course we don’t want you to experience thus we are here to share to you some basic tips and tricks of playing Darklings for iPhone and iPad.
Villains usually in groups as part of your challenge on how you will capture it. Actually the trick is to get those near to you. Just focus on their pattern and draw it quickly actually you don’t need to be exactly just a close enough sketch can do the job. Once you make it perfectly, the others will be pushed back a bit. Another way is by doing a combos from your drawing, so just eliminate them all one by one as quickly as you can. This will let you earn more stars and and good scores.
After defeating enemies you will notice stars appear and float upwards in the sky. You can capture it by quickly draw them back to Lum. Again you need to be clever here because enemies will be summoned from all sides to get those stars. The trick is to mind first those enemies before collecting the stars.
The entire battle system observes two segments. The first thing you should mind is when bosses throw projectiles and enemies at you, your task is to defeat them by drawing their shapes and the second segment will let Lum to fight back by drawing configurations in a proper order. If you successfully made it correctly, you will unleash a huge beam of light that will defeat the enemy and including boss easily.
In game you will experience boost through random system over the course of a match. All in all there are 5 boost you can use in game such as Blast, Freeze, Energize, Shield and Magnet. Blast will let you destroy everything inside a certain radius. Magnet will let stars draw automatically towards Lum. To protect Lum from any attack, there is a Shield that can block all kinds of attack. There is also a way to enhance the your drawing capabilities against enemies and that is through Energize and lastly one of the most effective power-ups in game – Freeze. This will let you set your ground in freeze near Lum to make it easier for him to capture enemies. All power-ups are can be improve through Dark Shop for a better effect using your collected stars.
There are lots of ways to get stars and multiply it such as through Starry that will let your character earn bigger stars, combo machine will also increase the number of stars that you can collect with every turn. You can also go for Extra Time to give you additional chance to earn more stars and finally the double the stars that definitely multiply all collected stars by two.
You will start the game with basic Lum costume but as you made progress in the game and collect additional stars you can unlock additional costumes including Eros, Iceberg, Eskimo, Magician, Viking, Masked, Wizard, Monk, Cactus, Undead, Santa, Be Juicy, Bat, Crow, Spidey and Vader.
Just like in unlocking new costume, you can also use different companions such as Fairly Lilly, Starhunter, Grim Reaper and each companion has their own perk to help you. Fairy Lilly can blow up enemies with one blast a turn, this is the cheapest from the three where you can purchase it with 7,000 stars. Next is the Starhunter which collect stars for you under limited time, also perfect for getting additional stars. Finally the Grim Reaper who can attack enemies every three seconds.
