From the saddest news we heard from the top application last week, the removing of Weed Firm on app store leads no reason until today as Manitoba Games talk about it. The game removed from the app store without further notice and warning why the game was deleted. We are also shocked about the news as we already enjoying the part of sharing cheats and guides about the game and of course to those potential players of this game. And then suddenly, the game it no longer available on iTunes and Google Play. One thing that came to our mind… Why?
I believe from the title itself, we already got a clue about it. A game where you need to establish your firm in operating weeds selling, cranking with police officers, meeting indecent characters and lot more. Of course they need to restrain it. But the big question is, why they let it to be launched from the very beginning. I believe there is a screening in game before releasing it for public distribution. Why there are still lots of games in app store having same content and still counting? Recently there is a game published where the only thing you need to do in game is to destroy everything in school. Just check out Smash the School for it. Speaking of weeds and illegal drugs, there are already application with this genre that already been on app 2 years ago and still you can play for it. Just check Drug Wars on app store. There is a game where you will experience infecting the world with virus, or you will play as fugitive who needs to run from the police. There are games that endorse shooting people and other illegal activities too. Maybe there is a deep reason why the game removed from the store.
This is the not the first time we heard such story of getting in the top of App Store and then suddenly deleted. Remember how the legacy of Flappy Bird ended with a blur reason of “the game is too addictive for gamers.” This time we are facing two same issue with different explanation. So let us hear Manitoba Games (official developer/publisher) give us their statement:
“As you might have noticed the game is no longer available on the Apple App Store. This was entirely Apple’s decision, not ours. We guess the problem was that the game was just too good and got to number one in All Categories, since there are certainly a great number of weed based apps still available, as well as games promoting other so-called ‘illegal activities’ such as shooting people, crashing cars and throwing birds at buildings.”
