1. Find abandoned kingdoms and steal their resources. This is the easiest way to win battles and ransack their resources. Even you have the least potential on your current level assuming that you are just a beginner, you can easily win fight and get resources from them. The only thing you need to do is to find for abandoned kingdoms that are previously owned by players who have deleted Grimfall or those who quit in playing the game. You can easily notice it as they are continuous in producing resources but they have never any troops deployed to guard them that will lead for you to easily dominate their kingdom and ransack their resources. Through these abandoned kingdoms, you can farm for more resources repeatedly.
2. Focus on upgrading your main city. This is where you train all of your troops as well as you can do research to unlock new troops. Unlike with other games under this genre, it is not good to experience that troops don’t have major differences with one another. You will never find such flow that troop A is better than B and B is stronger against C and so on. So the battle is all about numbers. From here you don’t need to strategize everything as you need only to ensure that you have more troops than your opponent to win the game. But of course, top tier troops can easily dominate lower tier troops and for you to unlock those high rated troops, you need to upgrade your main city.
3. Find area with resources and build mining structures from there. This makes the resources system different compare to other popular massively multiplayer online games. In Grimfall you have five different resources such as iron, wood, stone, food and gold. So this is not about building resource collectors in your main kingdom but you need to find villages abundant for mining. You can go to the world map and find an area with resources and after that you can go for specific village where you can build your mining structures.
4. Find a spot in between two resource spaces. In game, you will notice that for every additional village that you add will cost far more time to build. The trick here to make the process expeditious is to locate a spot in between to resource spaces and construct your resource building there. Ensure that you build next to all five different types of resource spots to work with. In general, you must build as many of these villages as possible so you can work with lots of resource mining.
