Recently we shared Welcome to the Dungeon as a tower defense based game where you will play the evil side. Now we want give you idea to almost the same game (tower defense) with a different touch of playing the good side as defenders against evil. Nival’s Defenders is about a tower defense game with a twist of card-collection genre. In this game you will see that all of your towers are cards and you can level them up through a classic role playing system. As a tower defense based game, you really need to imply strategy and that is why we are here, to share to you effective things you can do in game.
1. Create powerful towers through Forge. First you need to unlock the Forge feature of the game upon beating the level 4. This will let you combine your cards to make a single yet more powerful card. Just ensure that the two cards you are going to fuse is not your primary card as this will be gone forever and you can’t bring it back anymore. Plus through forging there is always sacrifice and from that sacrifice, you will see that it is not effective especially if you don’t have lots of cards. Later on as you continue and made progress you are able to acquire cards and that are what you can forge without a guilt. Having lots of cards, will let you forge even your primary card for more powerful arsenal.
2. Create powerful tower through Evolution. Aside from forging, you can also evolve your card once you reached a certain requirement for your card to evolve. Evolution will unlock new powers for your card and you will never find disadvantage in this part only this will ask you to pay for money. Evolution requires payment to process and the same two cards to evolve. This is perfect if you acquire same two cards and you wish to evolve either one of them.
3. Getting coins. Since you need coins so you can evolve, you need to go for techniques in getting coins. One of the most effective ways of getting coins is by completing achievements. For every level you will see that there are two optional achievements that you can complete. Actually if you wish to hit that achievement thing, you really need to play even harder while there are some task that will guide you on play the specific stage effectively. For instance, there are some levels that will ask you to build more than one of a specific tower but actually you will see that that tower would really help on that corresponding level.
4. Check the enemy counter before choosing a level. As you select a level, you have a chance to see all the information about it including the rewards, achievements and the most important to know is the enemy you will encounter for that level. So for enemies, you will see them with play button symbols that represent what kind of enemies they are. For small triangles, you will see that this represent weak enemies. For the bigger triangles, meaning to say you will encounter tougher opponent. For instance, for enemy such as tiny Kobolds these are represented by small triangles while the heavier Satyrs will come as big triangles. You will also experience dealing with special designed triangles such as triangle with wings for Harpies. From here you will see what type of enemies you will encounter and this is very important especially for flying enemy units that will correspond for specific tower to build.
5. Grant bonus effects for your towers. There are some levels, wherein you will see floating symbols on some of the tower tiles. They called it anomalies and they are able to bring bonus effects for your towers that are placed on them. There are blue anomalies that will boost the range of your tower. This is really come in handy to put aliment-inducing towers on it such as slower tower, so it can infect lot of enemies with wider range. There also red anomalies that will improve the damage of a certain tower placed on that spot. This is perfect for hard hitting towers to maximize their damage in game. And lastly the yellow anomalies that will boost the firing rate of a certain tower placed on that spot.
6. Use magic to the fullest. The best way to use magic to its full potential is to cast it as often as possible. Magic will only cost you cooldown so as this is ready to use, you should cast it upon your enemies. These come as special abilities in game that you can use during levels. You will start to drop a bomb anywhere on the field as your special abilities. It is perfect for inflicting damage against big hordes of incoming enemies. In using magic, it is recommended to use them as often as possible while also making a plan especially if there is upcoming moment you really them a lot like boss fight and etc.
7. Buy some talents. This is perfect especially if you are dealing with tough stage. You will see that there are three trees in the talent tree such as technical, magic and prime. When you say prime talent, this deals with your prime generation during levels while for technical this involves your towers and finally the magic deals with other properties. Almost all option in talents feature of Defenders are useful since you will have the bonus passively.
