Recently we shared about Adventure Xpress as a role playing match-3 based game and now with such resemblance of it, we also decided to include Puzzle Bandits guides for those who really like the genre. In this game you will play as a band of three heroes and lead them to their quest through different enemies using match-three system. If you are asking what is unique in this game, in Puzzle Bandits comes in the form of each stage you need to compete against the enemy for both player-vs-player or PvE set up. And to win that part and dominate this game entirely, you can read some guides and tricks we’ve also learned from other players.
1. Take advantage elemental property flow. Unlike with typical match-3 game wherein you need only match same tile/gem combination, here you need to use more of your strategy since you can take advantage with elemental property flow. Most of the time, who has the advantage with the elements wins. So to ensure that you will get the advantage, you need first to memorize the flow and how everything works. Actually it is really simple that goes like this: water is strong against fire, fire is strong against plant and plant is strong against water. So the trick here if you know you’re going into specific element based stage, you must do your best to do combination of elements that can beat them. As a player having lots of different elements you will encounter, it is better to mix all of the elements.
2. Empower your attack with special combination. Yes this is match-three game, meaning to say you can do an attack by just simply making three-combination but if you are advanced enough or you want to execute bigger damage with your attack, you must work out with special combination. You can make a five-piece combination with T-shaped, L-shaped, + shaped or even straight across combo. You can also do your best with matching as longer as 6 or more piece combination that can blow off your enemy instantly. But as a beginner, you must play this part step by step and do not push it instantly or else you will only get frustrated while missing all those opportunity to execute an attack against your opponent. Of course match-3 is not bad at all especially if you followed guide above of maximizing your damage through elemental flow property.
3. Go with piece having a +1 next to it and make more +1, +2 and so on with plus sign icon. From breaking any piece that has the said symbol, this will adds the multiplier to any piece next to it. For those who already played Saga series from King, this will reminds you of the same mechanics. Just be careful that you don’t end up giving your enemy a free combo use. So if your opponent’s turn comes next, only use this next to pieces which your opponent doesn’t have.
4. Sacrifice your leftover heroes. Actually you need this part to play wisely since sacrificing means your old hero will be disappeared and to be used to empower the gaining hero. Just ensure that the sacrificial and your primary hero have both same element to ensure a bigger boost or even a double experience impact. This is why it is best for you to end up stage with minimal usage of hero so you can have always a leftover heroes that you can sacrifice to boost your primary hero.
