Just for a plane preview, this app is about tower defense game where players can select either the light or the dark side and fight hordes of enemies from the popular icon in Star Wars franchise. Just like the typical tower defense, you really need to play it with strategy and if you really want to you just know the concept of everything in game especially with every defensive tower that you can include in game so you can consider the maximum potential of this unit. 1. Practice keeping your champion busy. As you begin playing, you have only one champion to play and this is an easy jump start to practice yourself to keep your champion on the move. Keeping them on the move is your arsenal in getting all three stars on the level. In the starting phase, you usually have enough credits to purchase two or three towers meaning to say you are always going to have a biggest area on your map which is empty from defensive tower. That is the ideal place where you can put up your champion and patrol. You must bring him to the enemies to make damage and lower their health point before they reach your main towers. Don’t forget that champion do the biggest part of your game especially if towers are not capable enough to defend the entire push.
2. Build towers based on your enemies. As you earn enough money to construct more towers, you must strategize what kind of towers you need to build. You can start building towers according to your enemies. So from here, it is better to check the upcoming wave to see what you are going up against. This is perfect especially upon unlocking the specialized towers after completing the 3rd level of Tatooine. This towers can also be the biggest part of your defense system based on enemies you are facing. For instance, the basic ranged tower has two different specialized options. The first option gives it a very fast fire rate and with increased range and this is perfect for big hordes of weaker enemies. The other option can slows downs is rate of fire and put it for powerful yet slow blast and this is perfect for armored enemies or boss. From here it is better for you to check what’s coming next by tapping on the enemy wave indicator located at the bottom of your screen.
3. Combine melee towers and ranged towers together. In dealing the proper location of your towers, it is better to find two tower points that are near each other so you can combine your melee towers and ranged towers and set it up as your own chokepoint. You must have a melee tower in keeping your enemies in place while other ranged tower picks them off. Don’t forget that you can also change the rally point of your melee tower by tapping it and tap the little diamond and circle button to change the location where you wish your units to move to. This is essential if you consider positioning as your strategy.
4. Be aware with your champions’ synergies. We mentioned about the champion and we said that most of the time, this is the key for winning the game. Actually your champions can get special bonuses if they meet a certain synergy conditions. In Star Wars: Galactic Defense there are two types of synergies: planet and champion synergy. Speaking of planet synergies, this will be activated when champions are deployed on a planet they are familiar. For instance, if you use Luke Skywalker and you are playing in Tatooine you will get a movement speed bonus being the game set up on his home planet. So it is better for you to use Luke Skywalker when you are playing on a Tatooine level. While for champion synergy, this can be activaten upon champions of the same faction fight together. For example, pairing Jedis together will activate this bonus. From here, it is better to have a set of champions that can have the advantage from both champions and planet synergies all the way.
5. Take advantage with relics. As you make progress in playing Star Wars: Galactic Defense you will earn Relics and these will stand as special augmenters that give either your towers or champions a boost. These relics need to manually equip wherein for towers there are four different categories where you can put up your relic. For instance, putting the relic with the basic ranged tower will affect all upgraded versions of the ranged tower but definitely this will limits from melee tower. Just keep in mind that you don’t need to individually equip Republic and Imperial based towers since both sides have a equivalent tower of the opposite side.
6. Grind on previous levels. The good thing in this game is when you reach a difficult stage and you stack on it after couples of tries, you can go back on previous levels that you already completed and grind there to earn more stars. You will see that every stage has five difficulties to play with corresponding three stars to acquire on each level. Meaning to say, you have a total of fifteen stars to work towards but then you don’t need to jump the gun and try to earn evey star on a level right away since that is impossible based on your status. You will experience that the enemies stats will be way too high for your towers and champions to play with so you really need to go back in previous levels after earning more resources and additional arsenal to play higher difficulties on previous stages.
