This game is from the popular developer who made Angry Birds possible, Rovio Stars. Sky Punks will let you experience to be a rider racing on a mysterious contraption known as a glidewing. To be in general, this is an endless running game with a twist of instead of running you will glide to experience something new in this genre. You will start assembling your daring team of Punks as you race your GlideWing across the land of Neo Terra and your journey to defeat the rival GlideWing rider by flying even faster. The good thing here is that you have unlimited adventure startting a motley cast of characters which you can reveal their stories once you collected them all. You can also use currency such as crystals and coins to unlock new GlideWings and abilities as you explore the mysterious land.
1. Take advantage with your temporary power ups. From the beginning of every level you will get one free offensive and boost power up. You can also find additional power up as you go through the course. You need this power-up so you can beat the competition and be the first place so this is really important as a matter fact most of the game decides with power-ups. As you can see upon hitting your opponent with the offensive power up, this will cause them to wipe out and respawn a couple paces behind you giving you an extra advantage. For the boost power up, this works exactly like the boost gates but you can use them at your will. These boost are useful for pulling ahead of opponents. The key here to get ahead of the race is to hit one opponent with your offensive power up and then use your boost to get ahead of the one you didn’t hit. Just keep in mind that both offensive shot and boost power ups can save you from crashing into an object.
2. Select the right rider for the job. For every ride, it has a passive ability that differentiates them from the other riders. So for your advantage you must use the right rider for the level as the part of the game. You will see it before going to the level, there will be a window that shows you your objectives. This window will also tell you the recommended rider to use. Actually you don’t have to listen to it, but definitely this will give you advantage. For instance, the levels where you must attain a certain score are easier with Suma, who has a passive score multiplier. She is also capable of receiving score multiplier power ups during the level.
3. Take advantage on ads viewing. I believe that like us you don’t want to see advertisement especially if this is not related to you. But when you failed your run, you can watch the twenty-second advertisement to get back into the game. This is a better thing to do than to start the level all over again. If you are really not fan of ads, you can take a rest, go drink a water and relax so you can use this time for your own advantage.
4. Don’t forget to collect those stars. If you wish to level up, you should collect those stars scattered throughout the stage. Unlike with other game, Sky Punks don’t have experience points to acquire for you to level up but stars system which you need to collect. You can see at the main menu those stars next to your level. Stars you earn from level will go here to fill the star meter and when it’s full you will level up. This is the only way to level up so ensure you are getting all those stars in stage.
5. Just ignore your starting glidewings to upgrade. By spending Neo Crystals you can purchase additional glidewings or you can also unlock new glidewings as you reach a certain level. From here it is better not to focus on improving your first glidewing since there are lots of glidewings that will come to your way as you continue making progress in game so you better save your currency for a new glidewings.
6. Just keep going for bonus mode. For every level it has a three star to obtain and the more you complete your objective the more stars you will earn either it is about reaching a certain amount of score or by going to a certain distance. Upon reaching the 3rd star mark, you will enter the prestigious bonus mode. You will see a random supply of power ups fly ahead of you scattering themselves all over the track. These bonus power ups will come into different classification such as temporary power ups to neo crystals or all known as the premium currency in game. If you are not rushing on, you can stick around and see how far you can go since in the end power ups will make it worth your time.
7. Don’t forget to look as you leap. You will see that the roads of Terra Nova has lots of obstacles which you will face. These obstacles come in both natural and man-made while there are some obstacles can be jumped over and other can be slid under. So the key here is to adjust base on what obstacles you are facing so you can dodge them. There are ramps and jumps that come up from time to time. Don’t forget to utilize these so it will bring advantage to you for you to get ahead with. Just take time to look ahead at the road to see what obstacles you will face as this is quickly approaching to your way.
8. Collect all golds on your way. In this game you can collect not only stars but also gold as your primary currency in game that you can use to upgrade and unlock other characters. Keep in mind that sometimes, gold is purposefully placed in a way that makes it difficult for the player to get the gold and survive. You can use this gold as your hint to avoid obstacles.
