You will encounter powerful spells based on original Magic franchise including Tragic Arrogance or ferocious creatures such as Avaricious Dragon. Now for your edge of playing this game, we decided to share tips and guides for playing Magic: The Gathering – Puzzle Quest

1. Always complete your objective. This can be considered as option task that you can either complete or not. Keep in mind that every level of the story campaign has two additional objectives which you can complete. This will require you to complete the fight without taking a certain amount of damage, or you need to win the battle under a limited number of turns. Upon completing these option objectives, you are able to earn mana crystals which will come in handy especially if you are dealing with difficult level later on.

2. Plan your moves ahead. I believe that if you already played other match-3 puzzles games before, you are aware on playing your moves out. The game has the same concept of letting you to take your time in terms of advance planning for you to make match as many as possible using with one move. This works best with Magic as this can be a decision either you are going to win the match or not. Since upon making match, you will get enough mana that you need to cast multiple cards in game to defeat your opponent without having a problem.

3. Consider protecting your support cards. We include this to our strategy since there doesn’t seem to be a way to place a support card where you want it to go, so you need to work the correct placement for it so you can protect it from your opponent’s attack. You can protect your support card elements when they’re placed on the board by shifting other elements around. Keep in mind not to set up simple chains for your opponent. If you can make it you will see that your opponent might waste more time trying to get rid of it than you.

4. Explore on making different combinations in your deck. Keep in mind that you have a variety of card types t work with. The basic is you will attackers will always try to go for your opponent directly while those under in defender class will get in way and absorb all hits. And when it comes on Berserkers, this will always try to go after the enemy’s card. Upon knowing their roles in game, you can try mixing and matching so you can build a deck that is based on your strategy.

5. Prioritize matching with regular elements. Aside from regular elements, you can match with planeswalker pieces. On Nissa’s first planeswalkers ability lets her draw one card. Actually this is really not useful in game so don’t worry about matching planeswalker pieces early on when you just have Nissa. The only time that is useful to go for planeswalker ability is when you already reach level 14 and unlock Nissa’s second ability, the Nature’s Gift which will grants your creatures on the field +3/+3 until the end of your turn. So in the mean time focus on matching regular elements.

6. Always check your hand. Since this game is consider as combination of trading card game under match-3 puzzle game, you will experience dealing with exterior mechanics that you are going to need to keep track of. Here you will see the main feature is your hand as this shows what cards are currently on standby. You will see there is card at the top of the deck which you are able to put in game when you earn enough mana to summon it to the game. Just make it a practice of checking your hand every turn wherein you can base your strategy on what cards you have in your hand.
