Shooty Skies – Tips, Tricks, Cheats, How to Beat, and Strategy Guide

Shooty Skies is a new game for the iOS and Android by Mighty Games, a collaboration between Crossy Road-maker Hipster Whale and two gaming industry veterans who have worked for many companies over the years. This shoot-em-up is loaded with whimsical attacks, characters that can be unlocked (including secret characters just like in Crossy Road. You can shoot up enemies, collect coins, and mix it up with bosses even. Read on for some tips and tricks for Shooty Skies!

The most important thing to pay attention to in each round is all of the projectiles coming from each enemy. Projectiles you can’t shoot obviously, you can only avoid them, and one hit and you’re a goner. The better you are at avoiding each shot, the farther you can go. Of course, you also have to avoid the enemies that you don’t kill quickly enough.

Wanna go even further? Go to the weapons menu and you can either pay coins or watch a video for either double shots or quad shots, or some other boosts. You can also earn them for free by earning a total of 500 (then 1000, then 1,500, etc) points to fill up the point bar. Some other premium shots, though, you have to win with coins and not videos – Honey Badger Don’t Care and the Homing Missiles, for instance.

If you go far and you don’t want to give up yet, you can either watch an ad or pay a specific amount of coins to keep the round going. You can either do that, or you can skip all of that and start over again if you don’t think you have gone far enough. You can only restart once per level, though, so you can’t watch an ad now and then pay coins later.

After you get 500 coins, you can spend them to win a character out of the gacha. There are also secret characters that you can unlock. For example, if you fire a high enough number of shots you can unlock Pew Pew Pew, although it has not yet been revealed how much you would need to get him.

Bosses can be a bit tough to beat, so on the way to the boss, shoot up all of the blue treasure boxes that you can and then pick up what’s inside. You’ll get wingmen such as the pug who shoots rockets, the goose, the gunny rabbit, or you’ll get double, triple and quadruple shots and (of course) wide shots.
