Gopogo – Tips, Tricks, Cheats, How to Beat, and Strategy Guide

Gopogo is Nitrome’s new pogo-stick bouncing game for the iOS platform. Your goal is to go as far as you can through the various levels by aiming your pogo stick and bouncing from platform to platform, either going as far as you can or making it to the end of the level, depending on whether you are playing endless mode or the level-based mode. Read on for some tips and tricks for Gopogo!

You’re going to need quite a bit of practice in order to learn how to aim the stick right if you have just started playing this game. The best way to do it is to start leaning very gently to the right so you can work your way forward on the platform. When you get to the right side of the platform, aim all the way to the right to launch yourself onto the next platform. Before you land, right yourself again or learn just a tiny bit to the right to do a small bounce.

You’ll have to modify this if the next platform has an enemy character on it, walking around. You’ll have to be careful to avoid the enemy because you can’t kill them; they will kill you instantly if they touch you. You can bounce on top of them if you land on them with your stick though. When an enemy is on a platform, leave the platform as quickly as possible; or, if they are walking toward you, jump over them onto the other side of the platform.

You can collect coins as you go through a level, and then those coins will allow you to purchase new characters. The new characters don’t perform any differently than the old ones; they will just change your look. Each successive new character gets more expensive than the last one.

Hit the flag icon to go to the level-based mode. Your score on these levels depends on how many coins you complete them with, but if you make it to the end, you will beat the level. Each playthrough costs one pogo stick. If you run out of pogo sticks, go back to the endless mode and collect the pogo sticks that you see (endless mode doesn’t cost any pogo sticks to play).

Watch out for different types of platforms. The gray stone ones will crumble as you jump on them, and if you hit them three times they will break. The gold ones will move downward each time that you jump on them. Green ones move from side to side, or to the side consistently, so you have to hop to keep up with them.
