What does MMR Stand for in World of Warcraft

So you have seen people ask for your current MMR in the chat, but what does it stand for in WoW? This have led to constant cause of confusion.

MMR stands for Match-making rating, it’s how you’re matched up with other players.

From patch 5.4, you are now able to see your own personal rating instead of Team Rating. Conquest point cap and MMR, will now be based on you as a player, not on your team.

What happens to team matches like Arena and RBG? This will be calculated based on an average of the team MMR of all the players in the group. The player MMR is the link to matchmaking.
