For those times when you need to take a break from the Evolve game, but you still want to remain in the huge monster battling area, 2K Games has just launched Evolve Hunters Quest on the App Store, bringing an interesting twist to the asymmetrical shooter: a match three experience with some nice visuals and great challenges. I am here to help you complete all areas in the game and discover all the monsters and for that I have created this article filled with Evolve Hunters Quest cheats and tips: a complete strategy guide for beginners and all players worldwide.
So if you want to improve your game and increase your chances at completing all areas, read on for our Evolve Hunters Quests tips and tricks below!
1. Match at the bottom
Even though some of your squad members cause more damage than others, matching at the bottom is your best call, no matter what tiles you have there. This is because when the upper rows start falling down and new tiles appear, you might get some extra matches and cause a lot more damage.
2. Know your squad members
Some of them (like the red and yellow) cause more damage, while others are there for support and healing. Either way, they all cause damage and attack monsters, but know what to expect from each of them to create a strategy and match the tiles accordingly. Sometimes, you might just want a low damage attack to take out a monster and sometimes you might just want to add some extra energy to your bar to unlock a new super power.
3. Target the monster you want to attack
Your squad members will automatically select a monster to attack, but you can change that selection by simply tapping the monster that you want to attack. Check out how many turns each of them needs before charging, consider the damage that they are causing and which is their target and decide which is the monster you should take down first – because going with the auto attacking is not the best strategy in this game!
4. Keep the boosts only for the really difficult challenges
I have managed to go through all the missions in Chapter 1 Area 1 and most of the Area 2 without having to use any boost at the beginning of a stage. So keep your premium currency for the later stages when things get really difficult – until then, play a smart game and you will have no problem beating all levels.
5. Know the special attacks
Each of your squad members has three different special attacks and you should do your best to learn them all and especially wait to use them at the right time. You will unlock these special attacks as you play by matching tiles corresponding to the color of your character – every time you do so, they get some extra energy which gets you closer to unlocking their special attacks. It’s then up for you to decide when and which one to use: the first one which usually does damage and nothing else or wait to completely fill the meter up. Some are better than the others (in the case of the red character, for example, I only use the second super power as I think it’s the best one) and they can really change the course of the game.
6. Don’t be afraid of monster tokens
After creating monster token matches for three times, the monster will automatically attack. Don’t be too scared about these – I was ignoring them completely early one, until I realized that it’s not that much of a big deal. Plus, you can always use your squad members’ super skills to get rid of some from the board, which is even more useful.
In the end, it’s all about getting the right board and matching the right pieces as you don’t have a lot of control or too many upgrades to control yourself. So sit back, relax and enjoy the ride!
