Gameloft have just launched an interesting new RPG game on the App Store, Immortal Odyssey, an invitation to embark on an epic quest set in a nice fantasy universe. But your adventure might prove to be one that’s really difficult to complete without some extra help, so I’ve decided to share with you a bunch of Immortal Odyssey cheats and tips in a complete strategy guide for beginners to help them get the most out of the game.
But even if you are an advanced player, you might still want to check out Touch Tap Play’s Immortal Odyssey tips and cheats article below – maybe you will find some things that you were not aware of already!
1. It’s all about the Gifts
I think there are few free games that offer as many gifts as this one does, so make sure you take advantage of the offers and collect them all. You have daily rewards, rewards for spending different amounts of time in the game and a lot more – make sure you collect them all!
2. Don’t melt equipment
It will take you a while before melting equipment will make any sense – most likely after you reach level 20. This is because you can equip weapons and items on your team members as well, and you should do that since every little bit helps. Just tap the “Manage Allies” button in your menu and add all the weapons you can add to all of them. If you still have spare equipment after equipping all your 5 team members, that’s the equipment you can use as upgrade material!
3. Recruit more team members
You will have a lot of chances to recruit extra members by summoning them in the Stone Portal with those gems you win in missions or fights. I would personally suggest you to go for the Basic summon, because even though the Advanced one gives you the chance to score a Mythic character, you will usually get poor ones, just as in the case of the Basic One. But you would pay more than double for that and it’s really not worth it. Spend the gems on the Basic summoning and take advantage of the free Supreme picks you get every 48 hours.
4. Choose your talent paths wisely
Even though you can completely reset your talent points, you should still play it smart when it comes to spending them: there are multiple options and ways to follow and not enough talent points for you to max out the entire talent tree. I would personally suggest to follow a single branch after checking out all options and maxing it out. Trying to have a bit out of everything won’t have you excel in a single area (which should be causing as much damage as possible), and you will have trouble later in the game.
5. Save your consumables for super allies
You will get a ton of consumables that increase the experience levels of your allies, but you should keep them for when you really score a super ally. Two or three star allies will max out their levels really soon and there’s no point not to level them up by playing or replaying stages. So keep your consumables for those top allies that you want to improve fast.
6. Keep an eye on the shards
If you get any 20 crystals of the same type (called Shards in the game), you can use them to summon a four star monster, which could be extremely useful. So keep an eye on those shards and remember which stages reward you with them and replay them over and over again to increase your chances of getting more. Any 4 star monster will be better than a maxed out 2 or 3 star one!
7. Create a new character
Right now, it is possible to play with more than one character. The only thing you need to do is to simply select a different realm when launching the game: right now there are 4 realms, so you can play as 4 different characters, which is pretty nice because waiting for energy will really drive you crazy.
8. Don’t always go with Auto Combat
Although Immortal Odyssey usually does a really nice job at keeping the auto combat competitive, you should do better than the AI – especially in the more challenging fights, when you will want to conserve Rage attacks and target specific enemies. If you can easily beat them, auto fight mode is the way to go.
9. Wait for the perfect moment to attack
After starting a stage, while you are still walking on the path looking for enemies, you can often wait for them to turn their back at you – that’s when you should attack to get an extra free attack. In order to do this successfully, you will have to move in slowly, otherwise they will attack you if you get too close.
