The galaxy needs a new hero… so what are you waiting for? Star Wars Uprising is the newest game in the popular franchise. Taking place between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, Uprising lets players create their own hero to fight against the Empire. This action RPG is a massive beast, so we’re taking it one step at a time with our Star Wars: Uprising cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!
1. Use your dodge roll!
The very first ability your hero gets is a dodge roll. Double tap anywhere to quickly evade in that direction. This isn’t particularly useful against ranged enemies, but against melee enemies it can give you some much need breathing space. It’s also very handy for getting out of telegraphed attacks (the red zones).
2. Hold out blaster is really good!
Your starting directional ability is Hold Out Blaster. You shoot wildly in a large cone in front of you, dealing damage every couple of seconds to enemies within the cone. This ability is extremely useful for groups of enemies, and heck, even single targets! It drains energy as you continue to use it, but don’t worry. Your energy will refill once you stop, and it refills very quickly, so use this ability liberally!
3. Try each story mission on the higher reward tier!
Starting with the fifth mission, you can opt to tackle the level at a higher difficulty. Enemies will come in larger waves, they’ll pack more health, and do more damage. If you can survive the level, you’ll be rewarded with even better loot. Story missions are gone once you finish them, so you should always try to attempt them at the highest level. Just make sure your player rating is at least 50 more than the minimum rating!
4. Level up your gear!
The main way to increase your player rating and improve your overall strength is to upgrade your gear. Gear can be leveled up through the use of components. The rarer the component, the more experience gear will gain from it. You can find them by completing missions. Keep in mind that some gear have multiple ranks to them. If you see a piece of gear that has multiple stars on it, you can upgrade it once it hits maximum level. Doing so will increases its rarity and allow you to improve it even further!
5. Combine your components!
The most common component you’re going to find is the smallest, rank 1 component. Don’t use these on their own; save them! If you tap the component button at the top of the inventory menu, you can actually level up the components themselves. If you have multiples of the same type of component, you can combine them through the use of some other materials. This will improve the power of the components, allowing you to get more bang for your buck!
That’s all for now, but we’ll be back tomorrow with another guide on Star Wars Uprising. Sit tight! If you have any other tips or tricks, leave a comment below!
