Sundown: Boogie Frights Cheats: Tips & Strategy Guide

Sundown: Boogie Frights is a unique tower defense/base building game with a groovy 70’s theme. The zombie outbreak has taken over most of the world, and now it’s up to you and the mayor to protect your small base in Somewhere, New Mexico. Yes, that’s the name of the city! We’ll help you get your defenses up and running with our Sundown: Boogie Frights cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!

1. Follow the tasks!

After completing the tutorial the mayor will begin to assign you tasks. These tasks serve as a general direction of what to do next, so be sure to follow them. They’ll task you with base building quests such as upgrading facilities to the next level, buying new buildings, and so forth. They reward you with steel and ammo too!

2. Land consecutive shots!

With the cannon, try to predict where the zombies will go and shoot ahead of them. Remember each type of zombie has a different speed, so don’t get caught off guard! If you can land consecutive cannon shots without missing, you’ll earn a random power up for your next shot.

  • The basketball shot will cause your cannon shot to bounce a little bit after it hits the ground. Great for zombies in a row!
  • The electric shot will electrify a small area where the shot lands. Zombies inside this area will take damage over time.
  • The spiked shot works like the regular shot but has a wider blast radius.

3. Keep your storage upgraded!

Before you collect rewards or send out Jimmy on a supply rescue mission, be sure to check your storage capacity. Early on it is very easy to hit your limit and waste precious supplies, so be sure to keep your storage upgraded! You can also just spend the resources if you know you’re going to get a lot back quickly.

4. Save your fuel for additional builders!

You’ll start the game with around 550 fuel, the premium currency of the game. Save it because the next builder upgrade costs 500 fuel. Additional builders means that you can build more things at the same time. As tempting as speeding up construction time with fuel is, try to conserve it; it’s not easy to gain fuel back!

5. Change the layout to your liking!

Keep in mind that zombies tend to avoid walking on the grass and prefer to stick to paths. You can use this to your advantage! Try to make maze-like paths that waste the zombies’ time, and be sure to place defensive structures around the paths like gun turrets.

6. Place defensive structures near each other!

It’s always best to keep defensive structure near each other to get the most out of them. For example, as you learn in the tutorial certain buildings can distract zombies. If you have an attack turret nearby, it works great! You can also keep the zombies in place to bombard them with your cannon.

Keep your supplies high and reinforce your base to boogie all night. If you have any other tips or tricks to share with us, leave a comment below!
