When you play Empire Z, you will need to focus a lot on building alliances and taking down infected people, but there is a little more to it than that. You will earn points in the game by how well you construct your city and how well you use the resources at your disposal. Build Your City Up First

Before you really begin your quest, you should focus on building up your city, because your surroundings and environment are the most important way to stay alive in Empire Z. You want to make sure that your city is well protected since this is the only area in the game that has not be overrun by zombies. You will need lumber, metal, coins, oil, and food to keep your city going correctly, which are all resources in the game that you will have access to. The higher level you are the more resources you will have at your disposal, and you will also need these resources as they are how you pay for your units and upgrades. You will also need a recruiting station, hospital, housing area, Research Center and bunker. The recruiting center is where you will be able to form your units, the hospital can heal the units that come under attack, and the housing area provides training for the units and produces the coins. You also need the Research Center because this will help you grow and sustain your city by researching various technologies and possible medical cures. You want to make sure you have the bunker because that will help protect the valuable resources that you have within your city, but it only will protect 4 of them so you have to choose wisely which one you don’t want protected.

Gather and Level Up Resources

You should make sure you start off with building a food resource within your city, which is done by making one area a farming area. A lot of people will have many farming areas in the city because this is the main resource that you need to upkeep, and food is essential to keep everyone alive within your city walls. You will need to construct a lumber mill in your city, which is how you create and store lumber used for building different locations within the city walls. The higher level your lumber mills are, the more lumber you can store, and the more buildings you can then create. You will find the metal within the mines in the city, and you should upgrade these mines as soon as possible, since you will get more metal the higher your mine level is. Mines are important because they are also part of the building process and they also help create your offensive and defensive units. Oil is also vital for your city, so you want to make sure you upgrade your oil derricks as much as you can. The higher level the oil derricks are, the more oil you can generate and store. You also will need to get a lot of coins because coins are how you get into research upgrades at the Research Lab, which is obviously where you need to go to find a cure for the zombies. You get silver coins which come from the residential housing units, which means you need to level up and continually upgrade your housing to quickly generate coins. The higher level your housing is the more coins you will be able to generate and store, thus making it more likely you can find a cure for the zombies at the Research Lab.

Building Alliances Help You Survive

There are a lot of things you can do to help you survive in Empire Z, but one of the biggest things is to make sure you form alliances with other people. Alliances will help you kill off all the zombies and protect your city because you will have people all around the city watching the walls. There is a better chance of survival if you are with other groups of people who also want to kill the zombies and start a new life. When you first get into the game, you want to look for a “sister” alliance, which is done by selecting an alliance from the drop down list after you hit the power button. You want to make sure you join an alliance right off the bat, because you will also be able to create your offensive and defensive units with the people in the alliance. As was stated earlier, every person in the alliance will have their own skills and unique way to ward off the zombies, and also can provide assistance with food and shelter. This is not a game where you just build your city and try to protect it on your own, because that never works out very well, and you will learn quickly to rely on others to help you fend off enemies.

Be Careful Gathering Resources

When you are gathering resources, there is a good chance that you might come under attack, whether it’s from zombies or outsiders wanting what you have to survive themselves. You want to only gather just enough resources to fit inside of your bunker. If you sit there and continually gather resources, you will soon realize that you will have to put some of the items outside of the bunker, which means they are more vulnerable to be stolen from outsiders. Anything that is outside of the bunker is taken immediately if you are attacked, and then all of your hard work is gone. You also only want to gather your resources while you are paying attention and online, because if you are not online and end up getting attacked, then you will have no way to fight back against the attackers. It’s so important when you are gathering resources that you are with your group and people are watching out in front and behind you, because an attack can come out of nowhere. You also want to make sure you are staying close to your own city while you are gathering, which makes sense when you think about a possible attack. If you stray outside of your own city too far, then you don’t know who or what might be lurking in the trees or corner, and it is a high risk for attack at that point. Try to stay as close as you can to your city walls because your city is protected by other people in your own alliance, and they will watch out while you gather resources.

Level Up Your Hospitals Quickly

When you are playing Empire Z, you want to make sure you level up your hospitals as quick as you can, because the higher level it is the better for your own people. You can heal basically every person you end up losing in an attack if your hospital is a high level, which might be really important if you are attacked by a large group. Leveling up the hospital takes resources, which at the beginning might seem like a huge deal, but the hospital is one of the most crucial buildings in the game so it’s something you just have to do. You also want to send some of your people into the smaller cities so that if your group becomes wounded in battle at another location, you can help heal them quickly.

Be Smart With Your Bunker

When you get your bunker, you want to upgrade it as quickly as possible, because just like the hospital, it can protect you from an attack. While it does not protect your people, it does protect your resources, which are just as important as the number of people in your unit. You want to have a bunker that can be filled with resources and supplies to the max, because an attack will happen, and you don’t want to risk losing resources from that attack. If you have everything in the bunker and it’s all maxed out, then you will likely also get attacked less, because people won’t be able to see the amount of supplies you really do own. It’s important though that you only put as much stuff in the bunker that will fit, because anything outside your bunker is fair game to attackers, and will be lost in the event of a raid. Essentially, you need to think of the bunker as a hospital for your supplies and resources, so upgrade and protect it with everything you have.

Overall Impression Of Empire Z

When you play Empire Z it’s like you are playing a version of the Walking Dead television show or another zombie apocalypse type of movie. It’s really fun because you need to build alliances and create a community full of items to help everyone within your city walls survive. I really liked it because it makes you think about if this really happened, how would you cope? One thing I really liked was that you have the ability to make your city whatever you want it to be and there is no limit to how you construct the area. I had a lot of fun because you have to think strategy when you go out farming for resources, especially knowing that somewhere someone could be watching you and just waiting to attack you. It’s nothing special as far as the premise of the game because these types of games are out there all over the place, but this is definitely one of the more fun zombie games, especially since the focus is more on building the city than just killing zombies. From the artwork to the music and gameplay, this game provides a little something for everyone, and it’s not a very violent game like you might be thinking. I give all categories an 8/10 because I feel this game has a lot of greatness to it, since it’s more of a strategy war game, and I have not encountered one glitch yet to ruin the fun. It’s also a game you can pick up and put down when you want to, so you are not forced to keep playing or so bored that you want to stop playing.
