The goal Family Feud is to score more points than your opponent. In order to score points you will be asked a question, once the question has been asked you need to quickly come up with the top six most popular answers to that question. If you run out of time or get 3 incorrect answers, your turn is over. You will receive more points based on how popular you answer was, with the most popular receiving the most and the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth most popular receiving less points.

In Family Feud 2 and Friends you are given the option to play versus your Facebook friends or against random opponents. In order to play against your Facebook friends you will need to sign into your Facebook account. When you first open the game you are prompted to do this and it is a very simple process. You will also have the option to sign into your Google Play Games account which will give you access to 43 different achievements which range from visiting the credits screen to reaching level 99.
Once you are signed in and ready to start playing you will be greeted with the main menu screen. At the top of this screen you will see your name and your current level, the amount of coins you have currently, a button to connect you with mpoints (more on those later), a settings button, and a notifications mailbox button. In the middle of the screen you will see your Facebook friends that also play Family Feud 2 and Friends, making it easy to connect with them and start a game. At the bottom of the screen you will find a button for finding a random match and a button to play in a tournament, which are unlockable once you reach level 5.

Once you join a game you will compete in three timed rounds where a question is asked such as “what are common 4 letter female names?” or “What are things that people commonly associate with ancient Egypt?” and from there you can type out answers via the on screen keyboard. You have a limit of twenty seconds per answer and if you don’t answer within twenty seconds then you will receive one x, if you receive three x’s then you will be done for the round. If the answer you type out is one of the top 6 answers then you will receive points based on how popular the answer was, if you answer incorrectly however, you will receive an x. Incorrect answers and not submitting an answer on time can cause x’s to rack up rather quickly on questions that you do not know much about.

Since Family Feud 2 and Friends is a free to play game the developers had to incorporate some kind of freemium cheapness into it (What ever happened to good old actually free to play games?) so the game is played based on a coin system. Every time that you start a game it will cost you a certain amount of coins, you can earn more by either winning, waiting, or purchasing more via in app purchase. The developers also incorporated a system called Tapjoy, which can be used for getting free coins from completing tasks such as downloading other apps or signing up for different services

Family Feud 2 and Friends is currently on version 1.11.2 and works on both ios and android phones and tablets. It does require that you own either an android device with android version 4.0 ice cream sandwich or later or an ios device running at least ios 7 or later which means that it is only playable on newer devices.

There are also options to earn free coins using Tapjoy or by watching video advertisements. The game also includes something called mpoints which awards you points from many different things, such s playing the game daily or unlocking achievements, these points can be used for prizes such as gift cards or game consoles, although you will need to rack up A LOT of points before you can get anything good. It is a nice system though for rewarding you just for playing the game.

I highly recommend playing the game around other people even if you aren’t going to use them as your personal Google search slave. Many times when you can’t think of an answer, other people can. for example, today as I was playing a game the question was “What are things that people don’t like doing in their yard?” and I had gotten all the answers except one. I simply could not think of anything, so I asked my brother who happened to be the closest person to me, his first response was “shoveling snow” I had not even thought of that and sure enough when I typed it in, it was the final answer! Playing with friends and family around will also make the game much more entertaining.

I highly recommend making use of Tapjoy for receiving free coins as well. Most of the time the apps that it will have you download are small and you can delete them once you receive your coins so you really don’t lose anything from doing it. It will allow you to receive plenty of extra coins without ever paying real money. If you do plan on paying real money, I recommend paying for the more expensive coin packs because you get much more for your money the more that you spend.

Family Feud 2 and Friends Review

I personally thought that Family Feud 2 and Friends was a great game that really captured the spirit of the television show. It is especially fun playing it with or against your family and friends and the games can get quite hectic and exciting when the games are close. I liked how the freemium model that it used wasn’t anything too bad or intrusive, and it was fairly easy to work :around. The menus and buttons are all very reminiscent of the game show and everything in the game looked very nice, especially the in game graphics, which seemed to be ripped straight out of the show. I was very happy to see that the game used the same sound effects and music as the TV show as it led to a much more realistic and immersive experience. The game play was always very smooth and lag free and I never got bored playing it. The only complaint I have is that sometimes the questions will get recycled which can really take away from the difficulty and make the game less competitive if you or your opponent already knows the answers.

I felt that the mpoints system was a nice thing for the developers to incorporate for both them and the users, it rewards the users for playing the game more often and due to this it causes people the play the game more which helps out the developer through both ad revenue and publicity. Overall I felt that Family Feud 2 and Friends was very well put together and I highly recommend it to any fans of the television show.

General Gameplay: I give Family Feud 2 and Friends a 9/10 for its general gameplay. It is incredibly fun to play and is very well made. The way that it plays feels very similar to the show which leads to a very pleasant gameplay experience.

Addictiveness: I give Family Feud 2 and Friends a 9/10 for addictiveness. It is an incredibly addictive game and it is quite easy to blow through all your coins by playing game after game. The only downside to that is then you have to wait for your coins to refill themselves and that could take a while after blowing through them all.
