‘Fallout Shelter’: The Glitches You Need to Know

Fallout Shelter is being played on someone’s mobile device as we speak. Bethesda’s vault construction simulator stands tall as one of the most addictive mobile games released in 2015. It’s your job to build up the perfect vault, keep your inhabitants pleased, send your strongest ones out to scavenge and thrive in a post-apocalyptic community.

But the one thing we noticed while playing is that its pretty hard to gather up a worthy amount of caps, lunchboxes, outfits and weapons. It turns out there are two glitches that will grant you an unlimited amount of items.

Follow these directions to be granted as much goodies as possible. These are the glitches you need to know for Fallout Shelter.

Glitch #1

So like most mobile phone games (especially on Apple devices), you can use the time trick to push Fallout Shelter’s timed events to the end in an instant. Before setting your clock forward one day, do the following – send out a few strong Dwellers for some exploring on the Wastelands. Of course you should increase their rate of survival by equipping them with the proper gear, just in case. If there’s a few Vault rooms in production, then let them stay there while they’re still in the process of building. So pretty much any timed events that are being counted down can be applied to this process.

With all the advice we gave you above already done, hop out of the game and close it completely. Now all you have to do is hop into your device’s settings, head to the general tab, take note of the date and time option and set the “Set Time Automatically” option to off. Then go on ahead and set your clock manually a whole day forward. Now return to your Vault and check on all the new items now in your collection and the completed tasks that were timed from beforehand. After collecting your items, check on your Dwellers and revive any fallen ones. After that, close the game again and set your time and date back to normal.

Repeat this process over and over to collect as many caps, lunchboxes, outfits and weapons in one sitting.

Glitch #2

This glitch works great for players who’re just starting up a new Vault. Once you begin your game, the Tutorial mode will task you with completing two specific quests – equipping a Dweller with any item and selling any item. Make sure you don’t complete these two objectives at hand. The only quests you should pay attention to and collect rewards from are these three – collect 50 pieces of food, collect 50 pieces of water and level up any Dweller.

By doing so, you’ll be gifted with caps and lunchboxes for completing these quests. Plus, your current game will stay within the Tutorial quest loop until you collect the items from completing the two specific quests we noted above. So just keep on running through the three Tutorial quests we mentioned, collect your gifts and don’t worry about completing the two specific quests until you’re pleased with your amount of lunchboxes and caps.
