Found yourself stuck in iOS adventure game Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas? In this complete Pocket Gamer guide, we will tell you everything you need to know to save the land of Pirta from disaster. When we last left you, we had just entered the Grand Core of Sky Island. In this guide, we'll walk through the dungeon, collect all the keys, get a new shield, and face down the boss Shadow Mesmeroth.
In this guide, we'll mostly focus on the main adventure, so you won't find out about heart pieces, bloodstones, or other side-quests here. We hope to cover that stuff in future guides.
Go forward and take the ramp on your left. Throw a bomb at the wooden crate and then use your boots to jump across. Go through into the next room - the warehouse sector - and take the ladder down.
Go up the steps and take the staircase in the narrow alley to your right. Go past the mine, up the ramp, and push the block off so it falls into the room below. Now, go back to the staircase and then walk forward into the next room.
Blow up the box with a bomb, and then push blocks onto the four coloured floor tiles. Hit the blue reset button if you mess up and get a block stuck. When you're done, walk through the gate.
Stand on the button to reveal a chest - and for the statue to start breathing fire. Push the block (that we dropped down earlier) in front of the fire to make safe passage.
Open the chest to get a key and go back - through the rooms and up the ladder - to the very first room.
Use your new key to unlock the gate in the centre of the room.
Go to the left side of the room and walk up this little staircase. Use your boots to jump across to the other platform.
Stand here and wait for the laser to 'spot' you. It will strike the light-activated bauble and grant you access to the nearby door. Walk on through, but be mindful of the laser beam.
This room is the worst. It's so hard that I honestly believe there must be an easier solution that I've missed. If so, let us know what it is in the comments section below.
Okay. First, hit the switch so the blocks go into the floor. Take a pot from the corner of the room and place it next to the block directly in front of the hero in the screenshot above.
Next, hit the spinning windmill on the right to make the attached blocks go lower. Then, hit it again and quickly stand on the blocks so you are raised up with the blocks. Jump to the platform on the right with the boots.
Stand on the pressure plate. Drop back down into the room. Hit the windmill with your sword. Grab the pot from earlier, stand on the nearby block, and throw it at the switch. Look left and use your boots to jump from platform to platform until you make it over the water and to the checkpoint.
I recommend using the analogue stick controls for added accuracy. Whatever the case, we'll all be mighty impressed if you make it.
Walk forward. Blow up the boxes with a bomb. Follow the path into the next room.
Push the block off into the water. Then, use your bow to strike the target off to the right. A treasure chest will appear containing a key. Grab it and then return to the horrible nightmare room from earlier.
Go to the right of the room. Smack the windmill and stand on the block to ride up. There's a locked gate in front of you - and a lock to the right. Use your new key to unlock it and waltz on in through the gateway.
Open the treasure chest in this room to get the Chronos Shield. This handy replacement for your shield can reflect light, including laser beams. Return to the nightmare room and take the ladder back up to the main floor.
Go back through the locked gate from earlier until you're back at the start of this dungeon.
Take the ramp on the right this time, walk over the bridge, and climb up the ladder.
Push one block forward so it covers up the statue's fire-breathing mouth. Stand in front of the block and wait for the other fire column to stop. When it does, quickly dart past into the next room.
Bust the boxes with your bombs. Use your mirror shield to reflect the laser beam into both light-sensitive targets in this room.
Go through the gate on the left. Use your item-spawning spell to drop a barrel on the button, which will make a chest appear in another room. Now, go back to the room with the laser beam and this time take the door on the right.
Follow the path, avoid the laser beam, and go up the red ramp. Stand on this button, wait for the water level to rise, and quickly swim over to the far right of this room where there's a chest. Open it (it's just some bombs) and then go up the ramp and follow the path left.
Once you've passed another chest and gone over the bridge, you'll come to the room where you spawned a treasure chest earlier. Open it to get a master key. Now, go all the way back to the beginning central room. We'll wait.
The master door is at the centre of this room. Stock up on health and items and then head on in.

Boss fight time! This time around, we're facing off against Shadow Mesmeroth.
To start with, Mesmeroth will float around the room, randomly throwing fireballs at you. Before they hit, raise your Chronos Shield to bounce them back - hopefully at Mesmeroth.
When he takes a few hits, he'll fall down and split into three glowing cores. Two are fakes and will disappear when struck. The other is real and you should hit it with all your might.
Mesmeroth will then hide at the side of the arena and regenerate health. At this point, four windmills will rise up in the four corners. Hit all four with your sword - you can use the boots to roll quickly between them and avoid the laser beams.
Repeat this a few times to defeat this shadowy jerk. Next stop: Arcadia Ruins!
