Not everyone likes doing this, due to the fact that many Facebook users would rather be left alone and not be pestered with game requests. But if you know many people who do play these games and don’t mind getting invites, this strategy can be very useful. Once your game is connected to Facebook, you get the chance to add more friends to help you get extra lives. The game will also give you a special bonus (e.g. free coins, free lives, etc.), making it even more worth it if you follow this tip.
This is a basic rule for Gummy Drop and other related titles – start making matches at the bottom of the board, or close to that. This gives you a better chance of scoring combo hits and subsequently racing your way through any given level.
Especially when a level has multiple requirements, you’ll want to pay attention to each and every one of them. The hardest one should be the one you work on first, and that goes too for tough spots in the corners, or anywhere else in the board – knock off the tough ones first so you can cruise through the rest of the level.
Power-ups carry a premium in Gummy Drop, which means you shouldn’t use them arbitrarily, or in situations where you don’t really need them that badly. As a rule of thumb, we discourage players from using power-ups in the first 15 to 20 levels, and with that in mind, you shouldn’t get tempted to use them during the tutorials, even when the game makes you select them.
Sure, Gummy Drop is a “match three” type of mobile game, but that shouldn’t stop you from matching more than just three pieces of the same color. This would unlock a power-up (see above), and since they ordinarily cost money, you shouldn’t pass up an opportunity to match four or five pieces.
Lastly, we’ve got one neat little cheat for Gummy Drop players, and that’s how to get extra lives without sending a request to a friend or paying money. Quit Gummy Drop on your mobile device, go to Settings, and move the time forward by 90 minutes. Restart the game and that should give you three additional lives.
