In terms of mechanics, this is a city-builder where you can build and explore Peanuts’ “iconic” locations, take part in hundreds of quests, interact with the whole gang, and unlock some classic Peanuts comic strips. So what’s there to do if you want to be the best Chair-Beagle you can be? What you can do is read our exclusive list of Peanuts: Snoopy’s Town Tale tips, tricks and cheats, as most of these are beginner hints, this should at least get you started on the right foot and get familiar with the game.
While this game definitely includes some city-building elements, the main thing about Peanuts: Snoopy’s Town Tale, arguably, is all the crafting that’s involved. You get to craft items to move forward, so it’s imperative that you keep yourself busy and craft more of those items in order to ensure a smooth welcome for the Little Red-Haired Girl. Start out with the quest requirements, then continue, in this particular order, with city expansion, the inventory, and Want Ads. And if there aren’t any more crafting requirements to consider, you can craft with whatever you’ve got. As long as you keep on crafting, you should generally be in good shape.
And while we’re still on the subject of crafting, one basic thing you should also know about this game is that you don’t have to wait for items to be completed before crafting something else. And while you can’t queue more than one item, you can queue different items simultaneously, and focus on the items that need more materials before the rest of ‘em.
The Baseball Field is one of those iconic locations that Peanuts fans will definitely recognize – it’s where Charlie Brown and the gang had all those epic failures in the comic strips of old. But in this version of the Baseball Field, you want to go for the trophy as soon as you’ve got all five required characters. This location takes a half-hour to complete, but that also means better chances of getting the trophy. Go for the highest possible odds of winning the trophy, though don’t be disappointed if you don’t win it. You’ll still get the number of stars and coins promised, which is a nice enough consolation, if you come to think of it.
If you’re looking to add to your cash stockpile, then you should look no further than the Want Ads. Read the ads and check out the requirements, and make the items that will allow you to earn money the quickest. But if you aren’t comfortable with an order, you can tap on the X button to cancel it; you’ll just have to wait a couple minutes or so before a new order comes in. Don’t cancel orders simply because you aren’t in the mood, though – the only time to hit the X button is when the orders require a whole lot of seemingly trivial stuff for high-level items.
There is a lot of strategy involved when playing Peanuts: Snoopy’s Town Tale. But what kind of strategies are we talking about here? To use a basic example, you should find out what types of items are crafted by a specific character, or what items can be produced by a building. Take stock of what you know about each character and building, but do it one at a time. So if you’re trying to unlock a new area in the game, or if you want to upgrade your inventory, focus on that new location or quest, learn more about the characters involved if you haven’t done so yet, then move on to the next thing in the game.
Now, if you’ve got some free crafting ahead of you, or some unused characters after you begin working on the items that are required, don’t let those characters stay there idling around. Have them work on something. Lastly, another basic strategy to keep in mind would be to craft items that take a long time to craft when you know you won’t be playing the game for some time, like when you’re about to go to sleep.
When we say “some time,” we really mean some time. You don’t have to spend hours upon hours playing Peanuts: Snoopy’s Town Tale, as a few minutes a day, or a few minutes every couple hours would be fine. As long as you’re able to play the game at least once a day, you’ll be fine, as the daily rewards for consistent logins include a ton of new materials and items to collect. But try your best to make those few minutes worth it – start crafting new sets, have your characters perform new actions for extra items, and don’t just log in for the sake of logging in.
What you want to do here is to accept most of the orders and get all the items you need for them. Another reason to pay close attention to the Want Ads are the Special Delivery requirements that will give you a lot of rewards if you’re able to complete them in time.
