The saws are fairly slow-moving so generally it’s fairly easy to figure out where they are going next. Be sure to pick up the hourglass whenever you see it, though. It cuts the speed of the saws in half for about ten to fifteen seconds, but your score will keep increasing at the same rate as normal the entire time that this is happening.

Each coin is worth a different amount depending on how many points you have at the time. At first, they are worth one coin. After 50 points, they’re worth 2, after 100 they are worth three apiece, etc. After every 50 points another multiplier is added to the worth of each coin. Get far into the game to earn a TON of coins.

If you want to earn coins even more quickly, the best way to do so is to watch one of the video ads after you finish a round. When you see what looks like a film reel icon, tap it and you will make an advertisement video pop up. Once the video finishes playing, you will earn 50 coins for your trouble. Keep watching as many of these videos as you can and they will add up quickly.

Use those coins to purchase new characters. Characters start off fairly cheap, at 30 for the Lumberjack. At the top of the list is the 1,000 coin final character, the Politician, who looks like a caricature of Barack Obama. You can sort of see what a character is going to look like by their silhouette, so use this to decide before purchasing a character.

Watch out for opportunities to hide in the corner and get a bunch of easy points when you’re playing. Sometimes all four buzzsaws will get stuck bouncing between the same two corners for awhile, not breaking out of that bouncing pattern for a good long time. Hide in one of the empty corners for as long as you can so that you can rack up a ton of points.
